Maybe She Should Glue It On

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg got married just a bit more than two weeks ago, and already, Jenny says she lost her wedding ring.

She visited Good Day NY yesterday and explained that she and her hubby had been in a hotel room and she had to remove the ring.

"It’s a little hard to get romantic with diamonds on your hand," Jenny said.

So she took it off and put it on the room service table. When room service came back, they collected the tray and now the ring is gone.

No word on whether she and Donnie were still in the bed when the ring and dirty dishes were collected.

But, she's not horribly upset. "If you’re gonna lose your wedding ring, you should lose it that way."

No one's seen Donnie in a while. I wonder if he's scouring the dumpsters at the hotel?

Bourne Again!

If you're a fan of the Bourne trilogy - the three thrillers starring Matt Damon as the reawakened spy and assassin Jason Bourne - you are going to be delighted to read this news.

There are strong rumors that Matt's in development talks with Universal to bring the character back to the big screen.

Two years ago, the studio tried a spin-off - the underwhelming Bourne Legacy, starring Jeremy Renner.

Paul Greengrass, who wrote the second and third installments in the Bourne trilogy, is part of the team, set to write the script and direct the film.

Keep your fingers crossed, gang. This could be big.

Closed Captioning for the "I Don't Get Its," Perhaps?

Sometimes, it's not really clear what Elisabeth Hasselbeck is thinking...

In a tweet yesterday, she managed to wrap three scandals together: the one involivng Ray Rice and the NFL; the one involving the assualt on the US Embassy in Benghazi; and the one involving the IRS's alleged targeting of conservative groups. Is she suggesting that people are not calling for transparecny in all three? Or that people who are complaining about the NFL have more power than the others?

Or maybe she's just playing that game they used to play on Sesame Street: "One of These Things Just Doesn't Belong Here."

And in this case, maybe it's Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Bey & Jay or Bonnie & Clyde?

Beyonce and Jay Z have wrapped up their On The Run Tour, so now they're releasing a series of three short films titled "Bang Bang." The first one came out yesterday.

If you saw the tour in person, you've already seen the three films strung together. If not (like most of us!), the three shorts are meant to pique our interest ahead of HBO's release of the On The Run concert film on September 20.

If nothing else, these two are brilliant marketers.

As for the short... Well, there's no dialogue. It's shot in black-and-white. Somebody shoots a mailbox, Jay Z puts his cigar out in a diner patron's hamburger. And Beyonce sort of looks like Faye Dunaway in a couple of shots. Oh, and the background music sounds like a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western.

Don't expect any Oscars for this one. But it will do the trick - keeping people talking about BeyZee.

Welcome Back, Babs

It's been over 50 years since singing legend Barbra Streisand has made an appearance on an American talk show. So it makes perfect sense that Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show turned the entire show over to her on Monday night.

Barbra was promoting her new album, "Partners," which was released commercially yesterday. It features Babs singing with other legends like Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Michael Buble, and thanks to some major studio magic, Elvis Presley.

None of them were available to sing with her on The Tonight Show, so Jimmy stepped in...

His Elvis needs a little work, his Blake Shelton sort of worked, and his Buble was passable, especially at the end.

But Babs was spectacular. Here's hoping she doesn't wait another 50 years to return.

Just When You Thought Things Couldn't Get Worse for Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke's in the middle of a lawsuit with the family of Marvin Gaye about the music that went into his big hit, "Blurred Lines."

You'll recall that despite its hit status, the song stirred up a lot of controversy, ending up with Robin being labeled a mysogynist - and that's a generous characterization.

It didn't help any that Miley Cyrus joined him on-stage at the Grammys to twerk along in her mostly-naked style as Robin sang the tune dressed as Beetlejuice.

Anyway, the lawsuit claims that Robin and the song's producer, Pharrell Williams, were heavily influenced by and may have borrowed some of Gaye's music. The Gaye family says that Robin gave interview after interview saying how much Gaye inspired him and the creative process that went into the song.

Now, in a deposition from April that's just been made public, Robin's singing a different song. From the transcript:

"I was high on vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio. So my recollection is when we made the song, I thought I wanted — I  — I wanted to be more involved than I actually was by the time, nine months later, it became a huge hit and I wanted credit. So I started kind of convincing myself that I was a little more part of it than I was and I — because I didn't want him — I wanted some credit for this big hit."

He also says in the year following the song becoming a hit, he never gave one sober interview.

Which helps explain the Beetlejuice fashion choice too...

"It's the Things We Love Most... That Destroy Us"

The first trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 was released yesterday in advance of the film's November 21 opening.

Jennifer Lawrence is back as Katniss Everdeen, along with Donald Sutherland as President Snow. In this one, Katniss is the Mockingjay, the symbol of revolution against the Capitol.

Also featured in this new movie: Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore and the recently departed Philip Seymour Hoffman.

He passed away before filming was complete for Part 2, so it will be interesting to see what producers do with his role.

Meanwhile, check out the trailer.
