Do you have these?

Ted's random photo from Christmas Eve dinner w/ my daddy Maurice. We had ham.  Do you stil have left overs from your holiday feast?  Here's a recipe you can do with all/any leftovers...

Ted's stuff in a pan:

On his plate.. cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes and ham..Grab a large pan, sray pam it/ or butter of margarine... brown up the cornbread and mashed potatoes in the pan and then add chopped up ham.  Add your favorite seasonings.. garlic, pepper, whatever you like... cook up until a bit crispy w/ the potatoes.. put on a plate to eat.  You can add your veggies, sweet potatoes, whatever your leftovers are to the pan.. cranberry sauce is good to add after it's on the plate on top..or the side which you like.

You could also do the Layered Stuff in a Pan..grab a baking dish and spray pam the bottom to prevent sticking. Layer the stuffing, then a layer of mashed potatoes, and add the chopped up ham...Veggies/sweet potatoe whatever else you have could go on top.  Adding cheese inbetween and on top can rock too!  Bake until a light golden brown on top/warm in the middle, since they are already cooked. ENJOY!

ENJOY! MAY 2013 ROCK!!

And the Meek Shall Inherit the Earth?

As cockroaches are the most likely inhabitants of the Earth post 12/21/12, I decided to interview an ordinary cockroach I found roaming the streets. I was hoping for some thought-provoking insights of the impending apocalypse and I must say I was somewhat disappointed. Here is an excerpt from the exclusive interview.

Unknown Blogger: Excuse me Mr. Cockroach but I was hoping I could ask you a few questions about the end of the world.

Mr. Cockroach:  Well, I was hoping to get started on the chicken wing I see over there but yeah, I have some time.

Unknown Blogger: Awesome. So will the world end on 12/21/12?

Mr. Cockroach: Yes.

Unknown Blogger: Would you care to expand on that a little bit more?

Mr. Cockroach: Um, I’d really like to get started on that chicken wing.

Unknown Blogger: I see. What if I bring you the chicken wing and you can get started on it while I ask you more questions?

Mr. Cockroach: That would save me a lot of crawling. Thanks.

Unknown Blogger: So is there anything we can do to stop the world from ending?

Mr. Cockroach: [munching on the chicken wing with its “mouth” full] Buy a new calendar at Barns & Noble. Just cuz the Mayan calendar ended doesn’t mean the world has to end.

Unknown Blogger: Wow! Thanks. I’ll let you finish your chicken wing and I can run and tell the world.

Mr. Cockroach: Whatever, dumbass.

ATX has the best airport EVER!!

Checkout the coolness planned for travelers at ABIA:

Festivities

Three special holiday-themed performances are scheduled for the Asleep at the Wheel Stage, taking place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, 20, and 21.

Dec. 20: The Judy Lee Dancers (tap-dancing Christmas trees, Santa, and reindeers)

Dec. 21: Austin Square & Round Dancers (traditional square dancing with a singing caller)

New at ABIA

Concessions and services continue to expand at Austin-Bergstrom. The opening of Annie’s Café & Bar bring specialty salads and sandwiches, burgers, and a full bar with live music. Ruta Maya has added another location to sell its organic coffee and tasty treats; what’s more, this one comes with a bookstore and live music performances every Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., now giving the airport 19 live, regularly scheduled music shows in 6 different venues. Lastly, Knot Anymore has got your back with a second location near Gate 7. Chair massages alleviate tired travel muscles, focusing on the neck, shoulders, upper back, arms, hands, and feet.

A new, temporary, fourth security checkpoint opened in November in east ticketing to help reduce security wait times. The checkpoint, operational only during peak travel times, provides four additional screening lanes, increasing maximum screening capacity from 11 lanes to 15.

Click here for more good times at ABIA.  They ask that you get to the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight due to heavy travel.

Put the faces to the names..

I ran across this on the People Magazine site.  They have photos and something special about each child and adult who lost their lives in the  Sandy Hook shooting in Newton, Connecticut on Friday Dec 14th! You might want to grab a few tissues before you click here!

The folks on The Voice last night did a fantastic tribute to the victims. Such a powerful message holding up the signs for each victim.  More tissues will be required to watch this.

For those mouring their loved ones, some comfort from Chicago came in the form of doggies! This is a cool story how the dog power can help w/ the pain and heartbreak.  Click here  for the story!
