What game?

Lots of talk about the 'Big Game' on Sunday, although there are many who don't watch for the game, but for other things like commercials, 1/2 time, or just because nothing else is on worth watching at the time.  Whether you are having a 'Big Game Party' or just chilling at home checking things out a bit, I ran into these 25 questions that you could answer before the game, that might make you have a bit more interest in the game.   If you are having a party, you could have peeps answer them before the game starts and whoever has the most correct at the end of the game could win something cool.. bottle of win...case of Beer... maybe collect a couple of bucks from each guest to create a cash stash... the winner could win that.  Here are  25 more reasons to watch the 'Big Game'! Have fun!

The 'BIG GAME' 25:

  1. National Anthem – Over or Under 1:34 in length?
  2. How long will Alicia Keys hold ‘freeeeeeee’? Over or under three seconds?
  3. Will we see Alicia Keys’ belly button?
  4. Will we see Beyonce’s belly button?
  5. Will we see Jim Nantz’s belly button?
  6. Number of people who will ask “Who’s Jim Nantz?”
  7. Coin Flip – Heads or Tails?
  8. Number of People at Party Who Say They’re More Excited about Commercials?
  9. Over or Under 10: Number of times they show the Harbaugh parents?
  10. First Team to Score – 49ers or Ravens?
  11. First Score is – Touchdown or Field Goal or Other?
  12. First In-Game Commercial Is For?
  13. First LOCAL business commercial is for which business that ponied up an obscene amount of jack so their buddies could see how cool they are to be on TV during the Super Bowl?
  14. How Many Commercials Will Feature a Baby/Babies?
  15. How Many Commercials Will Feature a Monkey/Monkeys? (Donald Trump does not count against the spread)
  16. Will Ray Lewis cry during the National Anthem? (Thx, Scotty!)
  17. Over/Under 3: Number of times CBS replays Ray Lewis’ coming-out-of-the-tunnel dance?
  18. Over/Under 3: Number of times CBS shows a cast of one of their shows awkwardly sitting together?
  19. Half-Time: Surprise guest star Beyonce sings with?
  20. What color gatorade does the winning team dump on their coach? (actual prop bet in Vegas)
  21. How many times does CBS cut to revelers in Bourbon Street?
  22. Over/Under 5: Number of times CBS shows Alex Smith looking forlorn on sidelines.
  23. Number of people who will ask “Who’s Alex Smith?”
  24. First celebrity couple awkwardly shown snuggling on TV?
  25. Who will the Super Bowl MVP thank first? Teammates? God? Owner? Family? Coach? Other? (actual prop bet in Vegas)

Bonus Question: Who actually wins the, you know, game?

VDay gift idea...

I got this in an email from my Honey Ted.  Wonder what he's thinking about for Valentine's Day?  LOL  For the girl that has everything... although I don't think I have everything, but I do not have these.  Would you consider this for V-Day?

Heads up Foodies...

I got an email from my honey Ted about a new restaurant opening in ATX 'Hi Hat Public House'.  It's owned by ATX drummer Steve Schrader.   Beer lovers welcome!

Here's a write up from Austin 360:

Open: Hi Hat Public House, a restaurant at 2121 E. Sixth St., the former home of Braise. Chef Jesse Curtis’s menu includes everything from pork meatballs and beer-brined chicken wings to posole, herbed pappardelle and cassoulet, and the bar has two dozen craft beers on tap. The restaurant is open for dinner and Sunday brunch. 478-8700, hihatpublichouse.com    Something new to try for dinner!

Should more places do this?

McDonald's will have QR codes on their packaging/bags that you can scan with your smartphone to get nutrional 411 on what you are eating. "The QR code is in addition to the nutritional information McDonald's currently prints on brochures, tray liners and more as well as on the information that can be found on the company's apps."

Good Idea?  I like the idea, but not sure I want to know the nutritional value of a Big Mac, fries and a chocolate shake. I realize they have salads, grilled chicken/sandwiches and apple slices, but do most go to McDonalds for that type of meal?   cheeky
