7:20 AM: What I wish I would have said. On Saturday Sara was shopping with a friend and stopped into a jewelry store. When she asked to try on a bracelet, the store owner said “you know that’s $1,000, right? Do you still want to try it on?” she got so mad, and left the store, but later she realized what she wishes she would have said. She wishes she would have said “no, I don’t want to try it on, because I don’t like to buy from rude people”. Her other option would be “yes, I do want to try it on, and even if I want to try on every bracelet in the store, you will let me because I’m the customer, and the customer is always right”. Something similar happened to Sandy years ago. One morning he was in his neighborhood walking his dog and was just in shorts and a t shirt.
