6:00 AM: Sandy got stuck in some really bad traffic yesterday, and was wondering when rush hour actually starts. We think no one in Austin really keeps actual hours, considering that the traffic on the major thoroughfares in Austin is pretty bad as early as 3:30 or 4 pm most days. Yesterday a man fired shots on the steps on the capitol building around 12:15 pm. He was arrested, and no one was injured. Also, tonight will be Conan O’Brien’s last night on the Tonight Show.
6:15 AM: There is a new album out, and a lot of money was spent to produce it. Alex and Cassiday didn’t know who it was before hearing it, and has to give their honest opinion. Alex liked it, and Cassiday definitely did not. It was music from Heidi Montag’s new CD.
6:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. There has been a recall for 2005 through 2010 Toyota Cars. You can check the Toyota website for all of the information. Quincy Jones think now is the right time for a “We Are the World” part 2. It will be recorded on the Monday after the Grammys. Tonight is the “Hope for Haiti” benefit, hosted by George Clooney. The “Miracle on the Hudson” plane is up for auction, and is being sold “as is”.
6:45 AM: “Only in Austin”. We all know that living in Austin you see things from time to time that make you say “Only in Austin”. We have seen a guy who rides a bike only wearing a thong, and Sara videotaped a clown singing karaoke out of her van on Congress Avenue earlier this week. We got a call from a man named Jeff who rides his bike around town with his cat perched on his shoulder.
7:00 AM: Tooth Fairy starring Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” gets graded a D. Legion starring Paul Betany gets graded an F.Extraordinary Measures starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Frasier was not screened, but the buzz isn’t great about it. Not a great week for movies, unfortunately.
7:15 AM: We give away a pair of tickets to see Norah Jones at Stubb’s on May 1. Did you know Norah Jones has as many Grammy Awards as Ringo Starr?
7:20 AM: List of the biggest flops; The XFL, when Felicity cut her hair, Who wants to be a Millionaire, Coupling (the show that Friends was based on), The Secret Diary of Desmond Pffeifer, Moonlighting’s episode of David and Maddie hooking up, Cavemen, Family Guy being taken off the air by Fox twice, Putting Jay Leno on at primetime, and two premature exits from TV; David Caruso leaving NYPD Blue to try and be a film star, and Shelly Long leaving Cheers.
7:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. Tonight is the “Hope for Haiti” benefit, hosted by George Clooney. Kanye West was not invited to the benefit, for obvious reasons. Heidi Montag’s mother didn’t know about her daughter’s plastic surgery until it came out in the media. CNN is claiming that Jennifer Aniston has a very calculated plan to promote her movies. They have noticed that the same three things happen whenever she’s promoting a movie; 1)she dates a famous guy, 2) she poses in sexy magazine photos, 3) she does a tell all interview about Brad Pitt.
7:45 AM: JB suggested getting breakfast this morning from My Fit Foods in Westlake, a place that Sara recommended last week. Alex is annoyed because the tradition on the show is to get Whataburger on Fridays. Everyone else wanted to try something new and healthy. So, we are getting it this morning and hoping that Alex likes the food.

8:15 AM: Bad mom of the day: an 18 year old woman from England posted a picture of her infant son with an unlit cigarette is his mouth on Facebook. The police were called to investigate, and they let her go without any charges and decided there was no immediate threat to her son.

8:45 AM: Sara secretly recorded her roommate, who is a loud TV watcher, last night as he was watching Man vs. Wild. He interacts with the TV and laughs very loud even when he is alone in the room.
