6:00 AM: There is a man in Texas who sent a hand-written letter via fax to the capitol requesting Governor Rick Perry be fired and replaced with Eva Longoria Parker. Also, there is a study out saying that numbers for kids wanting to get their driver’s licenses are at an all time low. We talk about how when we were 16, getting your learner’s permit and license were the biggest deals ever, and how we can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want one!
6:15 AM: Unknown poll—will you admit to using your wife or girlfriend’s beauty products? 1 in 10 guys nationally will admit to using them, but in Austin 100% of men will admit to using them.
6:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. There was a gun activist protest yesterday in Austin at the Capitol. AISD is considering reducing required PE credits from three credits to two credits. There is a big job fair in Austin this week Today-Saturday at the Westin Hotel in the Domain. You can find more information on Sara’s blog. There is a guy who made the top 24 on American Idol, and he signed a confidentiality report where you’re not allowed to tell anyone that you made it. Well, his dad ruined everything by going to their local paper and telling them his son was in the top 24, and now his son has been kicked out of the competition.
6:45 AM: P Diddy’s son just turned 16 and bought him a $360,000 Maybach for his first car. This made us reminisce about our first cars when we were teenagers. Sara didn’t want us to find out what her first car was. The rest of us all had junky cars that had trouble running, but Sara got a Jaguar.
7:00 AM: Grandma Shook is Sara’s grandma who lives in Dallas. Sara calls her up and asks her opinion of certain things in celebrity news, because Grandma Shook is very opinionated. She told Sara that she doesn’t like Peyton Manning because he is too pale. She also said that she thinks Heidi Montag looked better before her surgeries.

7:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. The Who will be the halftime entertainment at this year’s Super Bowl, and they will do a medley of their most popular tunes. Mel Gibson has come out in support of Tiger Woods and thinks that what he did isn’t that bad because everyone has done stuff they aren’t proud of. Ellen Degeneres and Simon Cowell are apparently butting heads with the taping of American Idol. Simon showed up an hour late to the first taping, which upset Ellen because her schedule is so busy and she has been trying to arrange her schedule around the taping of two TV shows. Nancy Kerrigan’s dad who was 70 years old has died, and her brother has been arrested and accused of assault and battery against his father.
7:45 AM: Someone keeps pranking a religious based television show, probably the 700 Club, by sending in emails all based around the plot of the TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. They have been fooled 3 times now and it’s hilarious.
8:00 AM: Sandy’s headlines that didn’t make Sara’s news. There is a postal worker in Pennsylvania who is from Haiti, and when the earthquake hit, the families on his route gathered money together for him to go. They raised $3,000 for him, but the Postal Service has a rule that the postal workers can’t accept cash as gifts, so they are trying to find a way around the rules. 8:15 AM: We talk to a listener named Pam who can’t afford a divorce from her husband and needs some advice. They are currently living together but living like roommates. We got lots of great calls from listeners with suggestions for how to do a cheap divorce.
8:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. There has now been more information released about what went down the night that Tiger Woods crashed his car. Apparently, once Tiger had taken Ambien and was asleep, Elin used his phone to start a text conversation with Rachel Uchitel. Once the conversation escalated and Elin realized that Tiger was involved with Rachel, she woke him up about of his deep Ambien-induced sleep and confronted him.

9:45 AM: Sandy’s parents are coming down from Nebraska for a month and are renting a house in Austin so they can spend more time with Sandy, Tricia, and Landry. Also, Sandy is preparing for his “Wild Game Party”, where you have to bring meat from an animal that you’ve hunted yourself, and they cook it. For those who don’t hunt, a side dish is required. Also, he’s thinking this year he’s going to request that everyone dresses in camouflage. Sounds like a party!
