The State of the Union address was last night, and one of the points that the President made that is getting a lot of buzz is his promise to try and repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy in the military. Yesterday the Apple Ipad was announced.
6:15 AM: The federal budget deficit is 1.35 trillion dollars, which is hard to even understand. We broke it down a little. 1.3 trillion Pounds is the weight of 135 million elephants! With one trillion dollars you could pay Alex Rodriguez’s salary 40,000 times. In order to pay it off, every American would have to chip in an extra $4,500 on top of everything else.
6:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. There is a new water park coming to Cedar Park, will be built on 95 acres, and will cost more than $100 million dollars to build. The construction at 290 westbound before the Brodie exit will be completed by March. There is new standardized testing for students. The STAAR test will start in 2015 and will count for 15% of the student’s grade.
