6:00 AM: Joe Paterno was fired last night by the Penn State Board of Trustees. The President of the University was also fired last night. The CMA Awards were last night and Taylor Swift won Entertainer of the Year, The Band Perry won new artist of the year, and married couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert won male and female vocalist of the year respectively. Eddie Murphy has decided to drop out of hosting the Oscars this year because Brett Ratner was fired as producer of the show.
6:15 AM: Make Sara Squirm replay from yesterday. Sara had to sit next to Alex and pretend they were on a date. She then had to make a move and hold his hand.
6:30 AM: 4 things you need to know with Sara. Last night Rick Perry had a BIG brain fart during a debate. He was supposed to name the 3 departments he’d make cuts in if he was President, and he couldn’t remember the 3rd one. The DMV board is voting today if they will allow Texans to get license plates with the confederate flag on it. Kelly Rowlands is the one who spilled the beans about Jay Z and Beyonce’s baby being a girl, so to apologize she is getting them a $5,200 pink crystal covered baby bathtub. Yesterday the Hyde Park tire slasher was convicted and will spend 10 years in jail.

7:05 AM: Tonight Sara is being auctioned off for Charity Bash to raise money for Casa and Lifeworks. Sandy will emcee the Boys and Girls Club black and white gala on Friday night. On Saturday morning we’ll all be out at different Whataburger locations for our pancake breakfast.
7:10 AM: Sara’s dating questions: What does it mean if a guy always wants you to come to his place before the date and then take his car? The guys say this is textbook guy stuff…it means the guy wants you to come in and/or stay the night after the date. Sara then wanted to know if cooking for a guy on a first date means he thinks he is going to get laid? The guys said definitely not, and that cooking for a guy is always a good idea. She told JB and Sandy that her idea of what she should make for a guy is a pot roast or something in a crock pot, which made them laugh hysterically. They said that’s probably the most un-sexy thing a woman could make for a man she just met because it would remind him of his mother.
7:22 AM: Sandy and his wife had a great moment yesterday when they took Landry to get her first tricycle. He realized how fortunate he felt to have that moment with his daughter and to be able to afford it. This is just another reminder why Bikes For Kids is so near and dear to JB and Sandy’s hearts. They got her a blue Trek cycle with streamers and a basket, but Sandy is going to throw away the streamers because he doesn’t want it to be too girly. Yesterday we dropped off 4 bikes to Big Brothers and Big Sisters because they got bikes stolen a few weeks ago during a break in.

A listener named Sarah called in, her husband left her about a year ago and 36 days after the divorce he was remarried and had a baby on the way. Curtis said it happened to him years ago. He was stationed at Guantanamo Bay and his wife was living in NW Florida. He was taking vacation to go see her, and he beat the Dear John letter.

After 60 years the Town Lake Animal Center is closing and moving to a new facility that will open in East Austin on Saturday. Sara hasn’t worked out in a long time, and keeps making excuses not to. She needs to start working out again soon or she fears she could gain 20 pounds by the time the holidays are over. Alex is laughing at the fact that the W Hotel bathrooms won “best bathroom in Austin” in the Chronicle’s awards because he has heard that people have sex in them all the time. JB has drama t home because his wife is mad that the dogs are tracking mud into the house but is unwilling to wipe their feet for them. Sandy is still in shock over the whole Penn State drama and can’t believe how many people knew about the abuse and failed to report it properly.
