7:18 AM: Bikes for Kids is in its 15th year, and we will give away the bikes on Friday morning. The first year they gave away 94 bikes, and it’s grown over the years. This year will mark 14,000 bikes given away and 1.3 million dollars raised over the years thanks to our generous listeners! We got a letter from a listener who nominated a girl named Gloria. Gloria has type 1 diabetes and lives with her mom and grandmother. They are about to be evicted from their apartment because they are so in debt due to medical costs. They are getting a bike this year, and Sara got to make the call to let them know.

Statistics are interesting. 80% of American moms say its harder now than 20 years ago. 30% say the hardest part is finding “me time”. 2 in 3 moms find it by hiding in the bathroom for an extended period of time. They say they get parenting advice 3 times a week on average.
