Paula Deen announced yesterday that she has Type 2 Diabetes. Paula is getting some criticism because she has known about her disease for 3 years. Why did she wait so long? -
Paula claims she wanted to bring something to the table - so she has paired with a drug company Diabetes in a new light to be the face of their new campaign and talk about their new diabetes drug. Anthony Bourdain has always critisized Paula Deen's unhealthy cooking and yesterday he tweeted,
"Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later."
Wikipedia is black today
Wikipedia shut down at midnight last night in protest of anti-piracy bills that could bring more web censorship.
If you go to Wikipedia today you will see - "Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge,"
Google also joined the cause by covering its famous logo with a black rectangle and urging visitors "Tell Congress: Please don't censor the web!"
Specifically the sites are protesting - Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA)
