You climb up 264 steps, then hop on a slide that will have you plummeting at speeds up to and maybe even greater than 65 miles per hour. At the bottom, you’ll rocket back up a five-story-high hill, and then splash down in a pool of water.
Sound good? Then you need to get to Kansas City for this weekend’s opening of Verruckt, the world’s tallest water slide (or so they say) at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City.
The park’s director of marketing says they’re hoping to attract “those adrenaline junkies who are always looking for that next biggest, coolest ride." Take a virtual tour of the ride below. By the way, in case you’re wondering, Verruckt means “scared Schlitterbahnless.”
