I enjoyed popsicles when I was a 'Little Girl'. I just ran into a 'Big Girl' popsicle recipe for a popsicle that I'm going to have to try out before summer is over. It could be fun at a tailgate/football party too! :)
Sweet Red Wine Pops
Makes 10 popsicles
Ingredients:
1/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers, soaked in 1 cup hot water (optional)
1 cup ice, crushed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3/4 cup elderflower cordial
1 cup Sweet Red Wine (I love anything that helps with budget! Like Woodbridge Sweet Red)
Directions:
1. Soak the dried hibiscus flowers in hot water for 10 minutes to infuse the liquid.
2. In a food processor, combine the hibiscus flowers and liquid, ice, lemon juice, elderflower cordial and Woodridge Sweet Red Wine. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour mixture into individual popsicle molds, add stick, and freeze until solid, approximately 6 hours. Change this up with different juices, wines and frozen fruits!
