Calm Down - I've Got Snickers

Vic, FlickrPsychologists at Ohio State University have proposed a theory that low blood sugar can trigger fights between spouses, because of a condition they call “hangry” – a combination of hungry and angry. The tests show that the lower the blood sugar level, the more aggressive spouses can be.

So the researchers suggest that before discussing something sensitive, spouses should have a snack. Some will pick candy, while others will pick fruits and vegetables - which is of course a whole different fight waiting to happen.
