DC is in the USA?

A reporter for a TV station in Washington, DC had a problem with a TSA agent in the Orlando airport recently when the reporter presented his DC driver’s license as proof of his identity.

The agent didn’t recognize the District of Columbia as part of the United States, and asked the reporter to produce a passport.

After escalating the problem to a TSA supervisor, the reporter was allowed to get on the plane and go home.

In response to the issue, TSA says they’re now showing copies of DC driver’s licenses to all its agents to be sure this doesn’t happen again.

They should probably remind the agents that those little cardboard booklets people get stamped at Epcot Center aren’t real passports.
