Yesterday, after my show, I had the lovely experience of a tooth pulling. Dr. Dave did a great job, but still it's a tooth pulling. Nothing to fun there.
When I got home, I started w/ the ice packs and chilling waiting for my mouth to wake up. I noticed, my 12-year-old Shih Tzu, Huey wouldn't come very close to me. After a while I realized, he was afraid he would 'CATCH IT'! Ever since he was a puppy, if Ted or I are not feeling well, or sick, Huey's reaction, STAY AWAY, so he doesn't catch it. I think it's the first time I've ever known, at least a dog, to do that. Most of the time when you aren't feeling well, they stick next to you. Try to make you feel better. NOT HUEY!... Yesterday, he figured I didn't feel well, and he didn't want to catch it. I tried to calm his nerves and let him know he can't catch my pulled tooth, but it didn't work. The photo shows the closest he got to me all night!
When I woke up this morning, he was sleeping by the bed on my side, which he doesn't do very often, so I guess he did care, but at a distance. :)
