The Annual Travis County/City of Austin Veterans Day Parade will begin at 9 am, Friday, at the Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge and will travel up to the Capitol Building. At 11 am, there will be a memorial service on the South Capitol steps. More information here website .
Purple Heart Veterans are assembling at the north end of the bridge; just look for the Purple Heart banner. Transportation in the parade is available for those who prefer or are unable to walk in the parade. Note: you do not have to be a member of Austin Chapter 1919, Military Order of the Purple Heart to participate.
