Disney Magic we had some fun shopping. Check it out to the driving beats of the Bucket Boys/percussion comedy, who performed on the ship a few of the days. Vince and Mitch grew up together, and they make a very funny and entertaining duo. They should come to ATX! They would fit right in with the Keep ATX weird and fun!
During our cruise on the Disney Magic (Me & Honey Ted), there was a Pirate Party on the ship! It was a blast! Mickey had a cool entrance and he lit up the sky! Check it out!
Mickey's main man Captain Robert chatted with me, and confessed who his favorite was!
The last day of the cruise before we pull into port Galveston. Ted and I had such a great time meeting new people and discovering things and places. Plus, the view wasn’t bad for the ‘Disney Magic Office Window’ during my show! Here are some photos of a few of the highlights from the big cruise.
Stare down on the Disney Magic.. MICKEY WINS!!
Tadah! Mickey Rocks!
I’m also a Big fan of Chip & Dale! They Rock!
We ran across an ATX/Lake Travis favorite in Costa Maya & Cozumel Carlos & Charlies in Costa Maya has a cool pool/bar in front of it!
Cozumel too!!
Grand Cayman Island has the cool 7 mile beach. They also had ‘Hell’, which we didn’t get a chance to check out this time around, due to timing of my show. That’s something to do for a future adventure!
Ted discovered ‘Raider Nation Fans in Cozumel’!
I’m going to have to blow this picture up for a bigger one to hang at some point! I’m amazed how BLUE & BEAUTIFUL the Cozumel water was… Breath taking in person!!
Our favorite port on this cruise was Cozumel. We had about an hour there after the show. We heard that the Disney Magic will have a 4 day cruise to Cozumel leaving from Galveston soon. I’m feeling some future cruising!
Broadcast snapshot: Here is what what the ‘office’ looked like on the Disney Magic during the broadcast! Thanks to the Disney Cruise Line peeps for the Magical Times!
Grand Cayman giving Texas a challenge of ‘Everything is Bigger’ when it comes to cereal bars! This is a serious RK-Bar!!
Ted and I are having a blast on the Western Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Magic. It's amazing all the cool peeps you meet, and the different places where they all come from. Ted and I are having a blast on the Disney Magic. We've meet so many cool people from all the world. Folks on the Disney Magic make sure to take the extra step to make sure your time on the ship is 'MAGICAL'.
You have a chance to win a cruise on the Disney Magic for a family of 4 leaving Galveston on October 20th and MIX Facebook friends have an extra chance to win a cruise.Click here for all the 411.
Every evening when you are out from your room your stateroom attendent leaves a nice surprise for you. Well Ted and I walked in before he made his escape, so we had him show us how he created his Big almost surprise! It's the amazing Baloy w/ his clumsy assistant me...
Right now Ted and I are on the Disney Magic that took its first trip out of Galveston on Saturday (10/6). Keep checking in to find out what cool things we are doing. This is where it all started and where you can start on the October 20th trip when you win a trip for a family of 4 on the Disney Magic this week during the lunch hour, and you have a second chance to win a cruise by Liking us on the MIX Facebook page.
This weekend has been such a good time on the Disney Magic that now leaves from Galveston. The experience so far has been SO MUCH FUN… or how they say on the ship ‘A MAGICAL TIME’. It’s the first time Ted and I have ever been on a cruise, so we didn’t know what to expect.
Most people we talked to leading up to the cruise said the food is great and you can have it whenever you feel like it. This is true, your appetite will be taken care of. I recommend the Animator's Palate. We had dinner their last night, it was cool to see how the animation comes alive by Disney while enjoying a yummy meal, and of course w/my sweet tooth, the double chocolate cake ROCKED!!
(Ted and I on our stateroom veranda on the Disney Magic...THIS ROCKS!)
There was a special appearance by Wizard Mickey who kept the party going. BIG YOU ROCKS to Ebrahim and Francesca who were our servers, and will be taking care of us though out the cruise when it comes to sit down dinners. This is the Disney Cruise line way, so you have someone who gets to know you, your likes and dislikes of food and make each dining experience even better than the one before, which will be hard for them to top, since they Rocked it last night. Check out the game that Ebrahim showed us. Can you figure it out ?
Coming back to the room from a nice dinner was even nicer finding your bed turned down with chocolate waiting for you. We have noticed that the crew on the Disney Magic take the time to do the little things that make your time on the Disney Magic, truly ‘Magical’.
You also get to experience a bit of culture from all over the world, since the Disney Magic has people who work on the ship from 63 different countries. So far we’ve met folks from New Zealand, Bulgaria, Croatia, South Africa, United Kingdom, Wales…doesn’t’ that ROCK! They are so nice and accommodating and sincerely want to see everyone having a good time. Whether it’s family time, adult only or kid only time, there are tons of things to do on the ship for everyone.
This morning we had a bit of Italy for brunch at the adult only restaurant,Palo. Italian cuisine for dinner that Rocks one of the most elaborate brunches I’ve seen. From pastries, to cheeses, fruits, meats and desserts, made to order dishes… they even go out of their way if you have food issues. I’m looking forward to having dinner there . I’ve heard the chocolate soufflé is to die for. Of course the sweet tooth in me will put that to the test.
Whether it’s a broadway style show with Big Time Disney flair, spending time w/ the kids at the Mickey or Goofy pool, enjoy some time away from the kids while they are taking over the 5th Deck with activities for kids of all ages, while you enjoy the adult only pool… There is something for everyone! It’s AWESOME to see families together, smiling, happy, and having fun. It is Magical!
Some extra bonus magic is the Vista spa that offers fabulous adult relaxation time. De-Stress with a bamboo or hot stone massage, a seaweed wrap, facial and even acupuncture, that can really relieve the stress, and make your body feel good and healthy. Make sure you check out the ‘Rain Forest Relaxation’ area and take over one of their heated stoned chairs! AMAZING! I need one at home!
Right now we’ve had what they call sea days. There are endless things to do during ship time, and we are looking forward to checking out the land ports that we willdock at: Grand Cayman / Cayman Islands, Costa Maya and Cozumel.
Tonight, we’ll take in a show in the Walt Disney Theater that has start of the art everything so your experience makes you feel like you are part of the show, followed by dinner at Parrot Cay for the Prince and Princess dinner! I’m hoing with my Prince Charming Ted!
Make sure you are listening to me all this week, from 10-3pm, as I do my show from deck #9. You will have a chance to win a cruise for 4 on the Disney Magic setting sail on October 20th! I’ve got a cruise everyday, Monday-Friday, this week that’s up for grabs. It’s going to be a Big Lunch Hour this week! Listen so you can experience a “Magical Time’ first hand on the Disney Magic leaving Galveston.
P.S. Looking forward to Tuesday’s party with Mickey’ Pirates In the Caribbean and Buccaner Blast Fireworks. Disney Cruise Line’s ships are the only ones who do fireworks at sea. THAT ROCKS!!
When I got home yesterday, I found this waiting for me.
The Disney Cruise packet w/ the 411 on my journey on the Disney Magic setting sail Saturday afternoon! Less than 48 hours! I'm so excited! (GIRLIE SCREAM) This will be my first cruise ever!!!
Monday 10/8 through Friday 1012 I'll be broadcasting live from 10-3 from StudioSea Deck 5 (from what my packet says). I've been told the food is amazing so I'll have to pace myself. First thing boarding on Saturday there's a Welcome Aboard Luncheon/Topsiders Buffect on Deck 9!
The Top 5 things I'm excited about doing on the Disney Magic, just from glancing at my package:
Whatever order they come in:
1.) The Welcome Aboard Variety Show... I've heard the shows are Broadway caliber with lots of Disney fun thrown it! This will Rock!
2.) Mandatory Lifeboat Drill.. may seem weird for me to mention this, but safety is very important. I'm glad that is a top priority for Disney Cruise Lines, besides the Uber Good Times!
3.)Tour of the Vista Spa- adults only... There are lots of fun things for the family and kids to do, but also some away/alone time for moms and dads too! Perfect!
4.) The Formal Prince & Princess dinner- Ted will be my prince that night, which he has been for the past 20 plus years, and I'm very lucky lady for that! :)
5.)MIckey's Pirates in the Caribbean Pirate Party & Buccaneer Blast Fireworks! THIS ROCKS!! AAARRRR!!
Okay, there are way more than 5 things I'm excited about... like stopping at the Grand Cayman/Cayman Island, Costa Maya and Cozomel... Make sure you keep checking back to my blog to see the cool things I'll be doing with Ted and Lauren and the new friends we'll be making! IT'S GOING TO ROCK!!!
