Heather's Thingies Blog Weekend Flashback-Great place for Summertime Fun/Relaxation... by Heather's Thingies , posted Oct 31 2011 3:06PM Memorial Weekend highlight in pictures... *Huey's chilling in the car ride down.. *Made some new friends while we were there!!! *Checked out the sites... *Hit the beach.... with lots of sunscreen. BTW great place to stay that is newly remodeled/decorated with one of the 'Most Comfortable Beds' I have ever slept on in a hotel- OMNI C.C., They allow dogs under 25lbs in the rooms. Huey gives them a 'BIG PAW' up! Great Eats: Italian food... 'Mamma Mia's' open at 5pm only for dinner! Just make sure you have cash on you that is all they take, but they do have an ATM nearby, which was very convenient!! The short trip over the weekend was the highlight for Ted, Huey & I of the Memorial Day Weekend! We have a Blast!  Perfect Weekend Trip w/ Fun for everyone! *FUN THINGIES  WE DID: -Texas State Aquarium - Texas State Museum of  Asian Cultures & Educational Center -CC Museum of Science & History -Captain Clark's Flagship Tour -Corpus Christi Beach...Clean Beautiful Beach & Gulf Water!! -Omni Hotel  ONE OF THE  'MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS'  I'VE SLEPT ON IN A HOTEL EVER!!! These are just a few of the thingies we did with many more Fun Places/Thingies to do!! The Breakfast Buffet ROCKED... one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in @ a Hotel!! *They also accept Pets/Dogs that are 25lbs & under!!! :) Has an AWESOME Pool & Pool Bar! :) -BIG THUMBS UP FOR AN AWESOME STAY IN CORPUS CHRISTI!! :) ..Did a lot of Cool things too... *First tour of an 'Air Craft Carrier'... the 'USS Lexington'... ... *Met 'Bitsy' the turtle at the Texas State Aquarium.. ... *Got in touch w/ 'Nature' @ the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center... ... *Of course got some Beach time in @ Corpus Christi Beach..I made some new friends & did several '1st' in Corpus Christi.. Keep an eye out for the Video coming Soon of my 'Corpus Christi Adventure Weekend'... ...A Great place for Families...Fun for couples looking to unwind & just enjoy...Something for Everyone!!..
