I just confirmed my appointment for some dental work on Monday.  I ran across this story, so I thought I would share. I'll have to ask Dr. Nussbaum if he would do this? A dentist in Alaska gave a ,7 foot, 300lb , Bengal Tiger a root canal on a tooth that was at least 3 inches tall. Here's the Story!
Giuliana Ranci, E News host,  found out she has breast cancer while trying for a 3rd round of IVF  to have a baby. It was caught at the very early stages, so after surgery and 6 weeks of radiation, beating it looks good.  It's important to get a mammogram, early detection is ALWAYS better. If you feel like there is something wrong, but don't go in cause you can't afford it, there are many options to get help. I listed just a few below. Â
I got an email from Bridget sending me a heads up about a great way to get exercise and help at the same time. Check it out...
Hello Heather,
When Dan Ouletteâs wife lost her mother Paula to lung cancer in 2008, only three months after being diagnosed, it was devastating to their family. To honor his mother-in-lawâs memory he organized for three consecutive years a Free to Breathe® event in Providence, R.I., where he lived at the time, to raise funds to support the National Lung Cancer Partnershipâs vital research, education and awareness programs.
At the end of 2010 Dan and his family packed their bags and moved to Austin, Texas and he has vowed to continue his mission by organizing the inaugural Free to Breathe® Austin 5K Fun Run/Walk, 1 Mile Walk and Kidsâ Dash on Saturday, November 5. He hopes to rally the community together to bring support to others and awareness to a disease that takes more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancer combined.

I was at Opal Divine's Pennfield location on S. Congress w/Personique for a  pre-party before the  Drink Pink Ball. Helping to raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer  Resource Centers of Texas.   Fabulous organization that has been helping people who are fighting cancer and their families since '95!  Mother Nature decided to drop by a special donation that was welcome too.
Â
Big You Rocks to Susan, Michael , DJ & the crew at Opal Divine's, Kathleen from BCRC and Tim w/ Personique! Hope your B-Day ROCKED too Tim!!
BTW: Kathleen from BCRC told me that 'Scare for a Cure' haunted house is just about ready for the scares and $ goes to local charities that help fight cancer. Click here for a Huge Scare. She said you can even make it 'Extra Bloody'. You will have to go to find out what that is. I don't want to ruin the SCARE for you!
A Bangkok beautician is experienced in the art of 'Slapping'. She says a woman can get bigger breasta by her slapping technique. There is no need for surgery, when she could slap them bigger. She is also teaching her technique but to a select few. I think I'll pass. How about you?
...The Federal Trade Commission ordered the sneaker company to pay $25 million in partial customer refunds -- calling the inflated fitness claims bogus. Consumers who bought shoes or apparel in the company's tone line after Dec. 4, 2008, canfile a claim (with a proof of purchase) for a $25 to $50 refund.
I wanted to pass this email to you. Keep it going to get the word out.

Crocs are getting banned all over at hospitals because they are unsafe. Higher ups are afraid the syringes and other sharp hospital items if dropped on someone's foot in crocs could pierce them, because of the croc holes. Many hospital workers are upset over a ban on crocs, since they are comfortable and easy to clean. Are you part of the Facebook hater campaign of Crocs?  Or do you think Crocs ROCK!!
Maybe the hospitals can make a compromise. Employees sign a waiver if they want to wear Crocs at their on risk. It could go right up there with Sky Diving!
Yesterday afternoon I had BIG FUN (sarcasm) having my annual girlie check up. My chest is a bit sore today, since I also had a mammogram as preventative care.
I know it's something many woman don't want to do, because it is uncomfortable and rather humbling standing in front of a machine topless getting squeezed, pulled and poked. But not doing it can lead to way worse things to go through. So please make sure you don't skip your 'mams'. Help keep you healthy. Make sure you do your monthly self- exams too.
My doc gave me this card to hang as a reminder.
Don't blow off a 'mam', take care of 'the girls'!
Pass along the reminder to the women in your life. That goes for you too guys. Men can have breast issues too. Stay healthy and get those 'mams' and do those 'self exams'. If you find something that doesn't feel right, call your doctor, don't put it off. It can be a matter of a long happy life or the other alternative.  May Good Health JuJu be with you!!
Kiwi could help curb IBS attacks. HHHMMMM.. might have to try it and see. Thought I would share this new tibit with you, if you suffer from IBS like me. 'Foods' and 'Stress' are a big factor for me. Ever since I was a little girl, I would get stomach aches when I had extreme emotions.
I just thought I was looking forward to getting some where, so that's why. Of course growing up, they got worse, especially during my time of the month. I didn't get diagnosed until I was almost 30. It was  relief knowing it wasn't something more serious, because IBS doesn't lead to anything, but it also means you really can't be rid of it, you have to deal with it. Some days are good and others..not so good.
Looks like the Kiwi helps more of the IBS/constipation sufferer, so keep that in mind.
"IBS suffers who ate two kiwifruit a day for four weeks had less constipation and a general lessening of symptoms than those who didnât." Check out the entire story
From a story about how the FDA wants serving size nutrition and info to be updated. THE ACTUAL SERVING SIZE that the majority eat rather than what it recommends!
Example:
'PAM' the non-stick cooking spray can advertise that it contains '0' calories and '0' fat because the serving is 'a fraction of a second' spray.
A full 6 second spray is around 50 calories and 6 grams of fat!
Wow, I did not know this, I will have to watch the 'Heavy Spray Finger'!

'Yep you're reading that correctly- 'The Breast Milk Baby' for Girls and Boys.
"The doll is extremely interactive, requiring the child to wear a colorful smock over their torso in order for the doll to fully utilize its suckling system. Over the general nipple region are two brightly-hued flowers, which the doll â whether you opt for the Jeremiah, Tony or Lilyang model â clasps on to and goes to town.
The Breast Milk Baby is available in six different models of varying gender and skin-tone, all priced at around $100 after shipping and handling." Click here for the entire story!
I can see something like this in new moms to be classes, but I'm not a fan of having a young child pretending they are lactating. It just seems too grown up, to fast, at a young age.
Imagine if Austin had a bike share system, where locals and tourists could check out a bicycle
from a self-service station, pedal from Barton Springs to South Congress, then zip up to a kiosk
near the University of Texas to return it.
Denver, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Minneapolis all have such systems, and San Antonio
launched one this spring.
Now a group of private supporters, led by Mellow Johnnyâs Bike Shop, is rallying to make an
Austin bike share system a reality.
On Thursday, the bike shop will host a demonstration and presentation by B-Cycle, which operates
a program in San Antonio. Theyâll demonstrate how the system works and let visitors test ride the
sturdy bikes.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at Mellow Johnnyâs Bike Shop, 400 Nueces Street
. The shop will provide appetizers and refreshments.
The San Antonio system started with 14 stations. The Austin system likely would be larger, with
about 50 stations and 550 bikes in the downtown grid.
âWe are working to build private sector support for a bike share system that has a lot of interest
and a groundswell of financial support already,â Mellow Johnnyâs general manager Craig Staley
said in a press release.
Got work out outfit, tennis shoes, drumsticks...
Pound Class is the newest creation out of L.A mixing
exercises from Boot camp and Pilates with Drum
Sticks. You are pounding your sticks while and as
a work out! Read up on 'Pound'! I'm out of breath and
my muscles hurt just reading about it!Â
Using weighted drumsticks or wooden ones provided in the class, members smack the ground repeatedly to a fast-paced soundtrack of hip-hop and rock songs
I don't think I'm coordinated enough for this one, but it should burn some calories. Couldn't you see Tommy as a 'Guest Pound' instructor. He would be brutal!!
50% of Cigarette packs will be covered in a detailed photo showing what smoking can do
and why you should quit?
Click the picture to check out more..
I've been smoke free over 10 years. The labels are pretty graphic, but I'm not sure if I would have quit just by looking at those. But it does certainly give you something to think about. I might not been as quick to grab a pack when I was a teenager seeing something like this on something I was gong to put in my mouth/body. Once you start smoking, it's not very easy to stop. It is usually something smokers enjoy doing besides just having the addiction to it.
*Smokers, will these pictures make you quit? Or do you just want to smoke in peace?
*Non-Smokers, do you think these pictures will work when it comes to quitting smoking and make young ones think before they pick up the habit?
*Former smokers/non-smokers- would these photo labels have made you quit?
There's a mom who is having a 'Womb Transplant' for her daughter to be able to give birth to a child. A 'Womb Transplant' has only been done once before and it wasn't successful, but now they say they have way better technology and knowledge of how to do it.
When you have some time check out the video...
If successful, would you give up your womb for a loved one who can't have children? People give up kidneys, parts of livers.. would a womb be different to you?
'Human Barbie' , Sarah Burge (50) has spent more than $800,000
on plastic surgery and procedures. Next month she plans to
have her 7 year old daughter Poppy sit in on her next round of surgeries,
so she can see what it's all about.  Yes, Disturbing, but even more
DISTURBING...Poppy wants a boob job for her birthday.Â
So Sarah gave Poppy what she wanted..
Sarah gave Poppy a $10,000 voucher... "Poppy begged me for a boob job, so I gave her the voucher so she can have it after she's 16, when it's legal. If she develops naturally big boobs, she can have something else done with it." Sounds like a reasonable, open-ended gift. Poppy, for her part, said, "I can't wait to be like Mummy with big boobs. They're pretty."Â Click here for the entire story if you can stomach it!
1st thing that popped in my head was 'WTF'! What do you think?
Do you agree with this lady's actions? If what she says is true, I certainly can see why
she would do this, but what if she was lying? HHHMMM... Click here for the story!!
Grade school kids and teens getting plastic surgery has gone up
30% in the past 10 years. Should parents allow/encourage their children
to get plastic surgery? What if it was to not get bullied by others?

Sylvia sent this to me , so I  wanted to share the luv.

Southern California hospitals are battling a deadly superbug, carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP). A study by LA County Department of Health, health care facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes have been the hardest hit.
Only one antibiotic is effective against the superbug, but colistin is not always successful in the treatment and can cause kidney damage. People with CRKP tend to be older, have multiple health issues and have a catheter of respirator, leading to assumptions that foreign objects carrying bacteria may be the culprit.
The threat of CRKP is particularly serious because of its resistance to antibiotics and its death rate, which previous outbreaks have shown to be as high as 35%.... Click for more
*This is what my left bottom molar looked like
after it was pulled out of my mouth by Dr. Burden.
An older crown with a bad seal was the culprit of
my unsalvageable tooth!Â
Dr. David (Burden) did a Great
job of getting in there and getting it out! Making
me feel comfortable and calm thru the entire
procedure! Yes, I was awake for it, the mouth just numbed.
Now the healing process, which is quite a process
from the directions! Good thing I like oatmeal
and applesauce. I'm seeing  alot of that in my near future!
...I kinda had that  feeling this morning, just had a blah morning.
'Til I checked out this video! Makes you remember how 'PRECIOUS LIFE IS',
and how we shouldn't take things for granted. You never know what could
happen....
TMZ: "According to a person on scene, a man between the age of 60 and 70 toppled over in the Delta terminal at around 11 PM last night.Tweeted after the incident, saying, "Just did CPR for the 3rd time in my life. What a night ... When they took him away he was breathing on his own ... Hope he makes it."
We're told Hal rushed to the man's aid and began performing mouth-to-mouth, while a woman performed chest compressions. Medical aid showed up shortly after and the man was taken away.
Hal
Hal later added, "Everybody NEEDS to take a CPR class. Out of 200 people only 2 of us new [sic] CPR ... okay enough preaching ... I need a nap." " I agree w/ Hero Hal...
*It's been a while, LONG WHILE since I was certified CPR...REALLY Need to get certified again...Â
If I run across any Freebie CPR Classes, I'll letcha know!
Is this to Good to be True? Supposedly NOT..
It will Greatly help peeps like me who constantly
get cavities & not a stranger of many root canals...
"TOOTH REGENERATION GEL.. that could replace
Painful Fillings/Root Canals!!!
"A new peptide, embedded in a soft gel or a thin, flexible film and placed next to a cavity, encourages cells inside teeth to regenerate in about a month..."
-
THE GIST
A new gel could soon eliminate painful fillings and root canals.
The technology doesn't prevent cavities; it heals teeth by regenerating them.
Although this is good news for teeth, the research could also be applied to heal bones and other tissues in the body.
*I'm gonna have to ask my
Dentist Dr. Nussbaum
next week before he works on yet another Cavitiy of mine..
.which could turn into a Root Canal (crossing my fingers NOT)...
NEED THAT GEL ASAP!!!
"The average American has sex once a week, and we know from studies, that doubling that to twice a week can mean you live three years longer," he told the Herald. "I think you can say it's an excuse to have more sex."...
*Now this Song popped in my head w/ a 'MUSE' in mind...
*You might know Xavier-these days Killer
Drummer for Buckcherry... Â
"While on tour with KISS late last year, his father nearly died (Pulmonary Fibrosis), if it hadn't been for the generosity of an organ donor. Xavier is now doing his part by rallying rockers for an auction of merch and memorabilia to benefit DONATE LIFE."
*Auction is going on now to help raise $ & awareness click to grab some Very Rock'n Goodies!!
*Looks like Health Care will be getting an overhaul soon.
Is it a Good thing?? Guess we'll find out in the near future..
I'm FOR a NE PLAN, but the one that is coming at us...
Not sure??? I really don't understand what it's all about???
...Even though it has been explained (sorta) over & over...
I found this helpful: KVUE: "So what does health care reform mean to you?
-If you suffer from a serious illness like cancer, your insurance company can no longer cap how much it will cover per year, which should help with steep medical bills. (Sounds Good, but hope there is something in this bill that insurance companies can't charge you Over the Top Higher premiums!)
If you have a pre-existing condition, $5 billion has been set aside to help the uninsured until new reform takes effect in 2014. (Good again, but will the premiums be hiked up...and $5 Billion will probably go extremely Quickly the way our Government spends money.. where is that coming from anyway??)
Parents can now include children on their policies until age 26, so if those children are without a job at any point, they won't be without insurance. (Sounds Good.... but is this  something that sounds Good, to Good to be True??)
The full reform takes over in 2014. That means Medicaid will expand. (Okay..Expand how?)
You must have health coverage or you will be fined one percent of your income the first year, two percent the next. (Not Digging this.. if you can't afford insurance..which it's my understanding this bill is made so we can..but if you can't.. you certainly wouldn't be able to afford the 'FINE'..HHHMM!)
Small businesses, the self-employed, and unemployed can pool resources and buy less expensive coverage. (Good...but hopefully Less Expensive doesn't mean sub-standard Benies/Health Care)
And are subsidies for families of four who make less than $88,000 per year. To offset premiums, families will get tax breaks based on household income." (Sounds Good, but will there end up being owed later???.. Seen this before.. get a break.. to see it coming back to get ya when it's time to file taxes!!..)
*These are just initial thoughts I have about what I've heard & read about the Bill. I do believe we need a much better Health Care System. One that we can ALL  AFFORD...Keep Hospitals & Drug Companies from Charging to much for an item/service..Example, I recently had a blood test that cost $197.. Insurance paid $50 of it..I owed $8... so a bit less than $60 for the test was accepted.. what happens to the other money? If the Docs/hospitals will accept that price..why charge $197... Of course someone without insurance can't afford the $197 as easily as $60...Why not charge $60 to begin with? Doesn't make since to me?? ..Anyway.. we all have a lot to learn about this new Bill and what could be coming our way. Try not to FEAR  'THE CHANGE', but EMBRACE IT & find out what it's all about & how it can/will affect you & your family.. GO FROM THERE!!!  LET'S HOPE THIS REFORM CREATES WA Y MORE GOOD THAN BAD!
"The virtual medical ID system lets EMS crews rapidly learn a patient's health history during a crisis. That access can provide the information necessary to treat -- and save -- lives. It also allows family members to be immediately notified, via text, that their loved one is headed to the hospital.
The program, which runs $5 a year, originated in Oklahoma and took off when the state's government made it an optional health benefit for its employees.
The service stores basic health information and up to 10 emergency contacts under a computer-assigned PIN number that's kept on a wallet card with your driver's license, on a key fob or a sticker on an insurance card. And although it's not meant to replace them, it's a dutiful companion to medical alert jewelry popular with diabetics, asthmatics and people with other illnesses. "
*It's not Always Bad to be a 'Quitter'...
At least for 'A Day'...
*Today is the 'Great American SMOKE OUT'...
See if you can make it a Day w/ out smoking?
...You might be thinking....
"Easy for you to say, if you don't Smoke...."
Well, I have been 'SMOKE FREE' for 8 Years...
I stopped Cold Turkey... started doing Exercise DVDS
each day to try to keep the 'NON-SMOKING POUNDS' from coming on...
I made it 1 Day..then 2..Then a week..Then a month.. Then 2 months...
Of course the first 3-6 months..it was so hard... but it gets easier.
It has also made me cut down on any drinking I did, since I
always wanted to Smoke when I had a drink...Made me all around healthier
So a little over 8 years later, I'm still Smoke Free... and NO I didn't Gain
the 'Non-Smoking Pounds'... Just have to put a little more time
into your body & keep in mind what you are putting into
your body.. I'm not going to say It's EASY.. but if you
can Get your Will Power Up.. IT CAN BE DONE...
Of course, there are days I would love to grab a smoke
and have just 1, but I know I would start up again.Â
Also the cost of smokes is another incentive not too, I'd rather have a cute pair of shoes rather than a cartoon
of SMOKES!  Will I ever smoke again, I hope not..but again
sometimes it's a Day, By Day thing.. Just take it that way..
don't put to much pressure on yourself..
Challenge yourself to 'QUIT FOR A DAY...
See where it takes you!!
Need some Help:
*The American Cancer Society also provides group smoking cessation programs, Internet resources, referal programs, or support groups. To learn about the options available in your community, contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 orwww.cancer.org.
*New "Government Study" on Breast Cancer basically saying women do not need Mammograms 'til age 50...& Don't worry about doing the 'Monthly Self Exams'???...
*When I first read this story, I thought it was a joke...Â
Of course there  are alot of factors to their studies...
Pointing out that the majority of women in the ages below 50 seem to have 'False Scares'..
Then they have gone thru unneccessary Radiation... possibly biopsies..CTs...
things they didn't need....Yes, these are not things to take lightly.Â
Â
...But neither is 'Early Detection'...
My Husband Ted's family has a history of Breast Cancer... From the Death of his Aunt who was not 50 when she passed. To his Grandmother, who caught it early & lived to her early '90s..even his Mom caught a Lump, that ended up being a form that they had never seen before.. she made it in the medical journals..it was taken out... She had no problems, thanks to 'Early Detection'...All of these examples of Beautiful Strong Women doing 'Self Exams' keeping track of their body and having Mammograms well before their 50s. You might have the argument, well of course they would do that, it's a Family history, which means you would do those things. Tell that to those Beautiful & Strong Women & Men who discovered a lump because of 'Self Exams' & 'Mammograms' who were in their early Teens, 20s, 30s, even 40s.. What about 'Preventative Care' to keep you healthy...
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE PREVENTATIVE CARE...
'SELF EXAMS & MAMMOGRAMS'...
* I actually had one a couple of years ago..I'm in my '30s...before the 40 rule, just to have a history of my breast since I'm adopted... I don't know my Genetic Medical History... My Doc wanted to make sure all was good.. also have something to compare things to incase anything were to pop up!!! The Docs in this recent Study would say that was an unneccessary thing to do. All I can Say ..I'M GLAD THEY AREN'T MY DOC!!!
Strange almost the same info came out about 7 years ago, and the result was
WAY DIFFERENT.. Interesting Article/Blog..
Here's the link to the 'Wonder Doc Team' from the New Results'...Â
* Insurance Companies will probably use this
study as a loop hole to not pay for very much/or even COVER
this very much  needed 'Preventative Care'!!!Â
...PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO EVER DO THIS....
Here's the 'Whitehouse' take on it (Via Twitter.. not from Prez  Obama, since he doesn't Tweet)... Click Here!!
....EVERYONE NEEDS Â the ability to
afford insurance... But also EVERYONE
NEEDSÂ to be able to count on insurance
when they are sick... That's the whole reason
we pay for it... SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!
ANY IDEAS????

...'Miracle Berry'??? Or Miracle Fruit..
Grown in parts of Florida, Asia  & Africa..
Limited amounts of it, so it's pricey..
But very interesting from what I'm finding out...
Suppose to make things that taste sour/or bitter
'SWEET' for a few seconds..
Example: Lemons will taste like "Lemonade"
Guiness Beer will taste like 'Chocolate'...
...This find/break through is said to be 'GREAT'
tasting options for diabetics  to be able to have 'Sweet'
without hurting their health...Or even Cancer patients to eliminate
the post metallic-chemo taste in their mouth...or just make foods
taste better to you!!!
... The lastest 'CRAZE' w/ the 'Miracle Berry'
are 'Flavor Tripping Parties'... where you can give
the 'Miracle Berry' a run for it's $$$
There's a 'Flavor Tripping Party' in Austin:

I got this email from  PAM.. "...My friend has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and her only option is a bone marrow transplant. I donât know if you are aware of the process, but Iâve learned a lot over the last few months:
80% of the time bone marrow transplants arenât surgical for the donor, but are done through stem cell donation from the blood
Minorities are underrepresented on the registry
Ethnicity matters on making a match
To register, itâs a simple process of filling out paperwork and using a q-tip to swab your cheeks (it takes 10 minutes)
... My friend, Norma, is not doing well and can only go through the last 2 of 7 chemo treatments before she has to have a donor. She has twins in 6th grade who are just the sweetest kids. Her family and several other friends have all helped in hosting 1 drive that registered 25 people, but weâve got to do more and do it quickly! Rene Slataper who works as a Marrow Recruitment Consultant for the Blood and Tissue Center has been a tremendous help. (Reneâs number is 206-1331.)"

It has kept me from having my 'Female Time' twice a month
