Extreme Makeover Home Edition ROCKED it in Bastrop this week. The Zdroj family had the big reveal this week. Terri, from our sister station MAJIC 95.5, had a chance to check out the new pad the day before the reveal. I thought I would share a few of her pictures she got. The furnishings came from the Home Consignment Center which Rocks!. Over 3,000 volunteers helped on this project. A definite Labor of Love!

Volunteers needed to help the folks in Bastrop with a fantastic rebuild with 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". Here's some 411 (KVUE):
Because Bastrop was hit so hard by the Labor Day wildfires, the show has chosen the city to be the location for one of their builds.
The project will start on Dec. 7, and the Bastrop family, who has yet to be revealed, should see their new home on Dec. 14.An average of 3,000 volunteers are needed to pull off the entire project. Anyone with construction skills such as framing, roofing pluming, etc. are encouraged to participate as well as hundreds of helping hands are needed to serve food, pass out water bottles, pick up trash, etc. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
*Central Texans are asked to attend a free community pep rally Tuesday night that will kick off the event. The pep rally will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Center for Performing Arts (in the main auditorium) at 1401 Cedar Street, Bastrop, TX 78602. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tylerwas hospitalized earlier today, after taking a serious spill in a hotel bathroom in Paraguay, where his band was scheduled to perform. He was reportedly rushed to the La Costa medical center in Paraguay's capital city, Asuncion, after slipping on the wet floor of his hotel room's shower, suffering cuts to his face and knocking out two teeth.
Tyler spent almost four hours in the hospital, where doctors administered stitches, and affixed two dental implants to replace his lost teeth. He has since returned to his hotel to recover, after being discharged in "good condition," according to Reuters.
Due to Tyler's injuries, Aerosmith was forced to postpone tonight's concert until Wednesday (Oct. 26). They will, however, continue their tour, performing in Argentina, as planned, on Oct. 28.

Dempsey- the idea of checking out of Seattle Grace after seven years is âbittersweet because itâs been great and a great part of my life. But I canât see me doing it anymore.â Ellen P. (Meredith Grey) is also thinking about bailing when her contract ends next season.
Writer Shondra may view this next season as the 'Last Grey's Anatomy' season for all. But if Ellen & Doc McDreamy both leave, then there really isn't a 'Grey's A', especially if the character the show is about is gone.
Over the weekend, I was at Gardenridge and Ted & I ran across the row of
'As Seen on TV' products. So we thought we'd try the 'Jumbo Doughnut Cake Kit'.
3 easy steps ( I guess mixing, baking and decorating...but there were some other steps in between,
so expect a bit more time than it takes for just 3 steps) to make a cake that resembles a doughnut.

Thumbs Down- the decoration kit. I was bummed because I was really excited
about the 'injecter', but in the video you see what happens. All in all, fun and the pans actually did a Good Job . My 1st success baking
with the silicone type pans. Folks at work seemed to like it too. It definitely
is a hearty piece of cake when you cut into it. Really no small pieces.
It's a must have for the Ultimate Cake Fan who is a fan of doughnuts too!
*Secret to more moist cake. Add a package of similar flavor pudding mix (dry) to the cake mix. :)

"Crystal Deans reiterates that her pole dancing class is fitness and her clients get good results. She also stands by the character of her clientele.
âMy women are classy and very intelligent, they are not trashy women. They are housewives, executives, mothers, sisters, everything, theyâre all different types,â she said. âAnd theyâre good people and they just want to get fit they want to feel good about themselves."
That hasnât stopped her detractors. They claim sheâs just doing it for 2 things: money and attention.
âAbsolutely not, like you said in the first thing, the class is free, people could think oh well sheâs charging for all of her other classes sheâs just trying to get attention,â she said. âIf it were for the money, Iâm sure I would be doing every interview, Iâve had 200 or so offers, but I havenât returned their phone calls.â
Some in Houston and across the country have made pretty harsh comments about Deans. They call her a slut, a whore and a horrible person overall, but Deans doesnât seem to be worried about it.

Also said to be on the show was former Hollywood madame Heidi Fleiss and Skid Row's Sebastian Bach. Though Heidi has since dropped out. Filming for the show started yesterday and is expected to last for three week as it follows the cast through a 21-day program....The new season will air this October on VH1.

Quirky New Yorker Wendy Kaufman is officially the ex-Snapple Lady, according to reportsKaufman was not feeling the new contract Snapple offered her and said adios!The contract would have paid her for appearances without a promise that any would materialize, she said.
The ex-brandwhore stated, "I just couldn't accept the contract because it was so one-sided and worth nothing. It was an appearance contract based on whenever they felt like calling. I know they weren't calling me."
An exec tells Snapple's side of the story. He says, "The truth is, we offered her a fair contract for work performed instead of a guaranteed fee. It was her decision not to stay with Snapple and we respect that. We wish her nothing but the best in whatever she does in the future."
Kaufman's not crying at home, though. She's moved on to doing Motorola voiceover work.
