The D-Word: Drought is a huge factor for folks in Africa. Speaking of drought....Did you hear about the 10 year drought in Texas? The way the weather patterns look Texas could have a worse drought than the one in the 1950s, which lasted 7 years. Let's hope this prediction is WRONG!
Jamey Rodemeyer and others who have left this world, because of 'THE HATE'.... It needs to STOP so others won't follow in their path. Whether you agree  or not, with someones'  choice of how they live their life and who they love,  they should be RESPECTED.  BULLYING (OF ALL TYPES) MUST STOP! HATE NEEDS TO STOP!   I had to grab the tissues watching this report.
Lady GaGa was busy this weekend, from a music festival in Vegas, to attending a $35,800 per couple fundraiserfor President Obama.
Gagaâs attendance at the fundraising event comes after the singer tweeted that she would be meeting the president and intended to discuss youth bullying with him in relation to the suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer, the 14-year-old student who took his own life last week after years of bullying. No photos were allowed to be taken by the press. Lady G supposedly had hair and heels so high they made her look around 8 feet tall. This is going to be the 'Hot Picture' to get/have, since pictures weren't allowed.
Gaga reportedly wore a black dress scalloped high plunge back and high heels. Her blond hair was upswept, with black flowers and black veil sweeping down back of hair.
Just the 'GaGa' way to get the attention she wanted for a great cause... TO STOP BULLYING!!
Recently the TSA, at the Atlanta airport, stopped a woman to search in her hair. She has an Afro that she hasn't cut since she was 12, and she's 53 now. She said it was humiliating. She has never had this happen before. Click here for the whole story. Do you think the TSA went overboard?
Crocs are getting banned all over at hospitals because they are unsafe. Higher ups are afraid the syringes and other sharp hospital items if dropped on someone's foot in crocs could pierce them, because of the croc holes. Many hospital workers are upset over a ban on crocs, since they are comfortable and easy to clean. Are you part of the Facebook hater campaign of Crocs?  Or do you think Crocs ROCK!!
Maybe the hospitals can make a compromise. Employees sign a waiver if they want to wear Crocs at their on risk. It could go right up there with Sky Diving!
Marine Corps Corporal, Dakota Meyers (21 years old) is receiving the Medal of Honor today for saving 36 lives during an ambush in Afghanistan 2 years ago! 19 years old at the time. Amazing.  Yesterday, he had a one-on-one beer w/President Obama. He asked the President, 'What is the best way to be succesful?' Presidents Obama's answer/ advice..."'you know, first thing, get an education and just take it slow and don't try to make any rash decisions.'" Good advice, wonder if that's working for President Obama?  YOU ROCK DAKOTA!
If you could have a beer w/ the President would you? I think it would be cool to kick back with the President with a Bud Light. Maybe if Congress and the House all got together with President Obama, over a beer, they could come up with some type of compromise on the economy, jobs... everything!
"Lovers of Mantua,â which is seeking a permanent home for the ancient couple.
After the discovery, many thought that the couple had been killed. It would fit in well with the history of an Italian region famous for many tragic love stories. Mantua is the city where Romeo was exiled and was told that his Juliet was dead. The composer Giuseppe Verdi chose it as the location for his opera Rigoletto, another story of star-crossed love and death.
But subsequent research revealed that the skeletons did not have any signs of a violent death. They were a woman and a man, between 18 and 20 years old. Some have wondered if they died together, holding each other in a freezing night. Professor Silvia Bagnoli, the president of the association âLovers in Mantua,â doesnât exclude this possibility, but says that more likely the skeletons were laid out in that position after their deaths." 10 years ago today, I found a poem that a little girl wrote to Dear Abby after seeing the twin towers collapse. This time every year, I like to pull it out and share it. It really does hit the nerve of what happened and what we need to continue to do.
The Dust of September
by Christine Morrison, Grade 4
9-11-01
The dust of September
The dust, the smoke, the clouds
from the dust of September.
The sadness, the sorrow, the darkness
from the dust of September.
The pretty sites are gone, the love, the death
from the dust of September.
The families, the lives taken away
by the dust of September.
Our country is sad, but our country still stands
in the dust of September.
Our flag still waves
through the dust of September.
We will never break, we will stand together
through the dust of September.
People hurt, hearts broken, but we survive
in the dust of September.
Tim Cook- (Perez) Â Out Magazine wrote, when they named Cook the number one "Power 50" a few months ago: "While it is Jobsâs prescience that has kept the Cupertino, Calif., company at the cutting edge of technology, itâs Cook who made sure Apple could deliver as demand rocketed. Leader-in-waiting? Most definitely."
Tim said 'Apple will not change." Email to the Apple peeps: Team: I am looking forward to the amazing opportunity of serving as CEO of the most innovative company in the world. Joining Apple was the best decision Iâve ever made and itâs been the privilege of a lifetime to work for Apple and Steve for over 13 years. I share Steveâs optimism for Appleâs bright future.
Steve has been an incredible leader and mentor to me, as well as to the entire executive team and our amazing employees. We are really looking forward to Steveâs ongoing guidance and inspiration as our Chairman.I want you to be confident that Apple is not going to change. I cherish and celebrate Appleâs unique principles and values. Steve built a company and culture that is unlike any other in the world and we are going to stay true to that â it is in our DNA. We are going to continue to make the best products in the world that delight our customers and make our employees incredibly proud of what they do.I love Apple and I am looking forward to diving into my new role. All of the incredible support from the Board, the executive team and many of you has been inspiring. I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and that together we will continue to make Apple the magical place that it is. Tim

Update 8/11: Here's our 'Super Committee'. Click Here
Many fall in this area just 'One pay check away' from being homeless',
Doesn't matter how much education or experience you have, which is the case
of Maurice Johnson. He has a Masters Degree in Plasma Physics from Dartmouth College,
and a Masters in Electrical Engineering and acoustics from Purdue University.
Maurice finds himself somewhere he never thought he would be... HOMELESS!! [kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/8eNPAH46oI8" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent" /]
With this in mind, the new 'Super Committee' to solve the 'National Debt' really doesn't put my mind at ease for a 'Grand Solution'?
- Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid will appoint Senators Patty Murray of Washington,Max Baucus of Montana and John Kerry of Massachusetts to a special committee charged with finding $1.5 trillion in budget savings. Reid, of Nevada, said he will name Murray as co-chairwoman of the bipartisan, 12-member deficit-cutting super-committee, which will be the central focus of political and lobbying activity on Capitol Hill for the next four months. Megan Hughes reports on Bloomberg Television's "InsideTrack." (Source: Bloomberg)
Deadline for a complete' Special Committee' is August 16th.  Think picking folks out of the same government that can't seem to figure out a solution is the right thing to do? It will be better cause it's smaller? Think it might be better to have folks outside of the government like big CEO's, business owners, accountants.... Like- Steve Jobs- Apple has more $ than the government. Maybe he could spot a few pointers on how to get the 1.5 plus trillion debt down, and jobs and the economy back up, so folks in Maurice's situation can get back on track. Also so others don't end up in Maurice's situation.
Just things that make you go MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!

 This is sad to hear..
Word is Amy tried to get a hold of Dr. Drew a few days before her death
She wasn't able to reach him. Story here!!
Â
Update 7/28 1pm:
One of Amy's big influences was Ronnie Spector. (Perez) Ronnie decided to do something very special to pay tribute to her. Two years ago, Ronnie actually went into the studio to record Back to Black properly and now, she's releasing it as a single in memory of her admirer and friend, with proceeds going to Daytop Village substance abuse treatment centers. In addition, she wrote a beautiful piece about Amy for RollingStone.com...
Any New Amy tunes coming in the future?
Answer right now:
"Spokesman Chris Goodman says there is "plenty" of material, but there have been no discussions yet about releasing anything. The Guardian newspaper Thursday quoted an unnamed spokesman at record label Universal as saying Winehouse had left the "framework" of about a dozen songsSales of her music have soared since her death. In the U.S., digital sales of her tracks have risen by 2,000 percent in the past week."
Update 7/26 2pm: A Big Question roaming around.. 'When will NEW Amy music be released? Her 5 year old (yep 5 years, doesn't seem that long ago it was released)
album 'Back to Black' is the #1 seller on iTunes/Amazon since her death
over the weekend. She had been working on new music the past 2 years.
Nothing is set for a release date right now, but it's in the works! It's bitter sweet that talented artists like Amy become more popular dead.
UPdate 7/26 12:45pm:
Amy's funeral today had several hundred mourners, which included Kelly Osbourne..
"The Jewish service was led by a rabbi and included prayers in English and Hebrew and reminiscences from Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father, who ended his eulogy with the words, "Goodnight, my angel, sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much." ... Mitch urged everyone to sing along as the service ended with a rendition of Carole King's "So Far Away," one of his daughter's favorite songs Click here for more
"I have lost my darling who I loved very much..." Amy's BF for 2 years, Reg Traviss speaks about his loss. "He described Amy's death as a terrible accident saying she had been upbeat recently, exercising and doing yoga"
*The word is Amy will be cremated after her funeral. Her family think they will put Amy's ashes with her Grandma Cynthia's ashes. Amy's Grandma passed away from lung cancer 5 years ago. They were very close and they believe they would both like to be together.
There are also talks about a Memorial Concert in Amy's honor w/ lots of musicians interested in being a part of it.
Update 7/25 1pm: After the Autopsy: Amy might have died from a 'Violent or Unnatural death'??"A Section 20 postmortem, as Winehouse had, however, implies that the Coroner believes "there is reasonable cause to suspect that a person has died a violent or unnatural death or in any other way which would require an inquest," according to guidelines. It suggests that the authorities are mounting a more lengthy and serious investigation into the circumstances around Winehouse's death, although the Coroner also reported that at the scene had been investigated by police and "determined non-suspicious." ??? *Word is no drugs were found near Amy the night she died.
She died a lone in her bed. Her body was found by a security guard,
who was outside of her door watching over her. She told him she was going
to bed, and when he came in later to check on her, he noticed she wasn't breathing. Click here for the rest of the story!!
Word no drugs around. We will have to wait for a toxicology report to determine what could have been the
factor.
Music lovers interested in the Austin City Limits Festivalâbut hesitant to travel downtown for the eventâwill be able to view a live feed of performances through YouTube, the website will announce today.
The Associated Press reports the Google-owned YouTube will bring live streams to its site for both ACL as well as Lollapalooza, a music festival held in Chicago from Aug. 5â7.
By streaming the popular music festival, YouTube management says they hope it will attract millions of viewers. When YouTube streamed the Price William and Kate Middleton wedding, approximately 72 million people logged in to watch the event online.
YouTube says it will offer a live feed of performances as well as a secondary feed for backstage interviews.
Update 7/15/11:
So HP& DHP2 is open and estimated $ so far around $88 Million....
It's rough being Harry huh... HP's such an inspiration you are finding 'The Power of Harry' everywhere, even in interior design.
This is just one of the HP inspired rooms...
Gryffindor Room looks like it has a bit of 'Hook'em Horns' spirit' too! It's called red, but looks closer to burnt orange to me>
Terri, from our sister station Majic, had this link on her website showing 'The Power of Harry is Rock'n'...
Thought I would steal/share it with you! :)
* Plus Juror #12 is living in fear. A 60 year old woman quit
her job at publix and gone in hiding because of fear of retribution from those angry about the aquittal verdict. Her husband said his wife told him, 'I'd rather go to jail, then sit on a jury during a trial like this again.'
Do you think it's right the jurors are living in fear for their decision?
JaMichael may be the biggest baby ever born in a state known for going big, and the average size of a newborn is around 7 and a half pounds. Not only did JaMichael weigh in at 16 pounds and one ounce, but he was two feet long.

New survey came out asking bosses what employee
habits annoy them the most!
*Blogging w/their picture might be another 'dis-like'
for next years survey!
Top 2 things (to stop doing):
#1-Â Sloppy Grooming- 40%
#2- Talking on the phone to much w/ family %29
Other annoying things were- messy work areas, smelling like cigarette smoke after a break...
Selling/fundraising for their kids was on the list, but only 1% of the vote. Most bosses don't want
to miss out on their Girl Scout Cookies.
*Looking for a flexible job/hours- Finland is high on the list for countries who do a flex-time schedule-92% of their firms!
The U.S. came in at 79%, which isn't bad. Another tibit: Online coupons are HUGE!!
eMarketer reports that by the end of the year, nearly half of adult U.S. Internet users (88.2 million people) will have redeemed an online coupon or code either online or offline in the past 12 months. By 2013, that number will reach 96.8 million adults.

Check out how this Billionaire dumped his wife...
Billionaire investor Wang Gongquan recently announced to the world that he was leaving his wife to elope with his mistress -- and he did it on a Chinese microblogging site like Twitter, called Sina Weibo.
"I am giving up everything and eloping with Wang Qin," he wrote, according to the Wall Street Journal. "I feel ashamed and so am leaving without saying goodbye. I kneel down and beg forgiveness!"
More & more peeps are breaking up using twitter/facebook.  Have you ever dumped anyone this way? Or been dumped this way?

Hindson is quite confident that vthe world will go on past Saturday. In fact, he is giving a speech to 10,000 people in California on Sunday, the day after Campingâs doomsday. Presumably those who are planning to come also do not believe that Saturday will be their last day on Earth.
I Feel....
Regardless of what you believe or what happens. It's always good to enjoy the moments in each day that you find Happiness and always try to spread it to others.  Like a sign I found in New Orleans that is hanging in my home.. 'Be Nice Or Leave'!
Enjoy what ever moments you have with Loved ones and friends. They are precious. Where ever we end up when our time has come, I hope
it's somewhere that still brings us Happy Moments in a day. YOU ROCK!!!
Barnes & Noble (& Borders) won't allow the entire Dossier cover
above to show in their stores, because the model's nipples
are showing. The model is a guy, so the argument is
it's no different than the shirtless guy shots
that many magazine covers have had in the
past...
...Zach & Johnny are showing nipple..
-This magazine is only having the cover up problem
in the U.S! Should it be covered up in a store, or
are some peeps being way to uptight!
Bin Laden Raid developer Jeremy Alessi and his partners took painstaking steps to make sure that the online game, which re-creates the secret U.S. raid on bin Laden, is as accurate as possible.
âThe layout itself is not factual, just logical from the information at the time,â Alessi told Wired.com in an e-mail about the gameâs rapid development. The team used Google Earth to figure out the geography surrounding bin Ladenâs compound, which is to scale in the game, and they created the inside of the infamous structure after perusing video footage released by news organizations and doing other research.
I understand being proud of a UT Alum, but could this cause any safety issues for him

What are you thoughts?
 Update 1pm 5/4/11:
President Obama has decided NOT to release photos of Osama Bin Laden's body
as evidence of his death!

Minerva-It's so hard to believe it finally happened! I hope it actually makes a positive difference for the world.
As always, I pray for peace!!!
John-Â I know HE doesn't have any thoughts !! lol !!
Terri- My mom was a peripheral death just after 9/11 - and while I know his death will not bring her back,
nor the 1,000's of people killed in 9/11 and the military who have died since - knowing Bin Laden is finally dead
does bring an odd relief...almost as if we've been holding our breath for 10 years and can now release it.
Jeff - Freaking awesome.....but get our troops home asap.
Prince Will & Princess Kate are finally married!
Hopefully Happily ever after...
Wait it's not Prince & Princess...
Pick one of these 3 titles.. (I'll stick with Will & Kate) Queen Elizabeth II gave Prince William the title of Duke of Cambridge and Kate Middleton the title of Duchess of Cambridge before the bride and groom's ceremony on Friday.
In addition to the dukedom, William also became the Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus,
which means Kate will become the Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus.
That makes three titles each for the royal couple.
According to The Telegraph, dukedom is the highest rank in the British peerage.
Here's some R W Tibits if you haven't gotten enough!

"... 180-pound 11-month-old red Tibetan Mastiff known as Big Splash, or "Hong Dong" in Mandarin, just earned the title of the world's priciest pooch.
The breed can grow to be 285 pounds, and according to the breeder, Big Splash is such a perfect specimen that the eyeball-popping price is justified.

An Open Letter to Parents Following the Tragedy in Tucson Posted by First Lady Michelle Obama ...
Dear parents,
Like so many Americans all across the country, Barack and I were shocked and heartbroken by the horrific act of violence committed in Arizona this past weekend. Yesterday, we had the chance to attend a memorial service and meet with some of the families of those who lost their lives, and both of us were deeply moved by their strength and resilience in the face of such unspeakable tragedy.
As parents, an event like this hits home especially hard. It makes our hearts ache for those who lost loved ones. It makes us want to hug our own families a little tighter. And it makes us think about what an event like this says about the world we live in â and the world in which our children will grow up.
In the days and weeks ahead, as we struggle with these issues ourselves, many of us will find that our children are struggling with them as well. The questions my daughters have asked are the same ones that many of your children will have â and they donât lend themselves to easy answers. But they will provide an opportunity for us as parents to teach some valuable lessons â about the character of our country, about the values we hold dear, and about finding hope at a time when it seems far away.
We can teach our children that here in America, we embrace each other, and support each other, in times of crisis. And we can help them do that in their own small way â whether itâs by sending a letter, or saying a prayer, or just keeping the victims and their families in their thoughts. We can teach them the value of tolerance â the practice of assuming the best, rather than the worst, about those around us. We can teach them to give others the benefit of the doubt, particularly those with whom they disagree.
We can also teach our children about the tremendous sacrifices made by the men and women who serve our country and by their families. We can explain to them that although we might not always agree with those who represent us, anyone who enters public life does so because they love their country and want to serve it.
Christina Green felt that call. She was just nine years old when she lost her life. But she was at that store that day because she was passionate about serving others. She had just been elected to her schoolâs student council, and she wanted to meet her Congresswoman and learn more about politics and public life.
And thatâs something else we can do for our children â we can tell them about Christina and about how much she wanted to give back. We can tell them about John Roll, a judge with a reputation for fairness; about Dorothy Morris, a devoted wife to her husband, her high school sweetheart, to whom sheâd been married for 55 years; about Phyllis Schneck, a great-grandmother who sewed aprons for church fundraisers; about Dorwan Stoddard, a retired construction worker who helped neighbors down on their luck; and about Gabe Zimmerman, who did community outreach for Congresswoman Giffords, working tirelessly to help folks who were struggling, and was engaged to be married next year. We can tell them about the brave men and women who risked their lives that day to save others. And we can work together to honor their legacy by following their example â by embracing our fellow citizens; by standing up for what we believe is right; and by doing our part, however we can, to serve our communities and our country.
Sincerely,
Michelle Obama

5 Days into the a New Year and another School Shooting hits
the national news! From my hometown Omaha, NE! Millard South
is where my husband went to High School.
"Assistant Principal Vicki Kaspar, 58, died at Creighton University Medical Center Wednesday evening, hours after the shooting. Principal Curtis Case, 45, was in serious but stable condition.
Butler posted a rambling message on Facebook shortly before the shooting about his unhappiness with his new school, but he didn't supply many details. Instead, the expletive-laced note predicted Butler's friends would hear about the "evil things" he was about to do.
He wrote that the Omaha school was worse than his previous one, and that the new city had changed him. He apologized and said he wanted people to remember him for who he was before affecting "the lives of the families I ruined." The post ended with "goodbye." "

... I was getting ready to head to the radio station
in Tampa, Florida. When my Hubby Ted yelled to
me from the living room that a plane hit one of the
Towers. Of course I thought, this couldn't be real.
I came out, and shortly after that saw another plane hit
the other Tower. I couldn't believe what I was watching.
My eyes filled w/ Tears and I felt like someone kicked me
in the gut. Throughout the day, I was broadcasting the horrific details
and just couldn't believe this happened to US.. in the U.S..
It was hard not to break down, seeing the endless people on the
streets of New York, trying to find their Loved Ones. The search
went on for a Long time, with many of the accounts getting sadder
and sadder. But one positive thing came out of this, during the time
following the Horrific events, the majority of us pulled together & worked
together to help lift each other up. I had never seen so many
Flags flying high all in a row in neighborhoods.  People were working
together to help others. It's Sad that a trajedy has to bring this out
in people. Wish we could be more helpful to each other everyday and
show our pride in the U.S.A... JUST BE NICE TO EACH OTHER...
Send thoughts to Family & Friends of those who lost their lives
just doing everyday things we all do each & every day...

THE DUST OF SEPTEMBER The dust of September
The dust, the smoke, the clouds
from the dust of September.
The sadness, the sorrow, the darkness
from the dust of September.
The pretty sites are gone, the love the death
from the dust of September
The families, the lives taken away
by the dust of September.
Our country is sad, but our country still stands
in the dust of September.
Our flag still waves
through the dust of September
We will never break, we will stand together
through the dust of September.
People hurt, hearts broken, but we survive
in the dust of Septemberâ¦

*Newest Facebook Page in honor
of Steven Slater.. The Flight Attendant for Jetblue
who quit his Job in Hollywood Drama Style.. "...The dispute flared up again after the plane landed in New York when one of the women, who had been asked to gate-check her bag, was enraged that it wasn't immediately available.
"The woman was outraged and cursed him out a great deal," Turman said. "At some point, I think he just wanted to avoid conflict with her."
Slater asked for an apology but the irate passenger cursed him out, saying in effect "go f--k yourself" and calling him a "mo-fo," according to law enforcement source
Turman said the woman "cursed him out using the f-word both as a verb and an adjective."
Prosecutors said that at some point, Slater addressed the passengers on the intercom.
"Those of you who have shown dignity and respect these last 20 years, thanks for a great ride," he said, according to prosecutors.
Slater then activated the aircraft emergency slide on door R-2, proceeded to the chute, looked down to ensure that nobody was below it as he had been trained to do, and he deployed the device and went down it safely, his attorney said.
He also grabbed some beer from the galley before he took the plunge and then headed for the AirTrain, where other passengers from the flight reportedly saw him on the way home."

*Did you realize there is such a thing as a 'Misery Index'? "The misery index was initiated by economist Arthur Okun, an adviser to President Lyndon Johnson in the 1960's. It is simply the unemployment rate added to the inflation rate. It is assumed that both a higher rate of unemployment and a worsening of inflation both create economic and social costs for a country. A combination of rising inflation and more people out of work implies a deterioration in economic performance and a rise in the misery index. "

*Looks like Health Care will be getting an overhaul soon.
Is it a Good thing?? Guess we'll find out in the near future..
I'm FOR a NE PLAN, but the one that is coming at us...
Not sure??? I really don't understand what it's all about???
...Even though it has been explained (sorta) over & over...
I found this helpful: KVUE: "So what does health care reform mean to you?
-If you suffer from a serious illness like cancer, your insurance company can no longer cap how much it will cover per year, which should help with steep medical bills. (Sounds Good, but hope there is something in this bill that insurance companies can't charge you Over the Top Higher premiums!)
If you have a pre-existing condition, $5 billion has been set aside to help the uninsured until new reform takes effect in 2014. (Good again, but will the premiums be hiked up...and $5 Billion will probably go extremely Quickly the way our Government spends money.. where is that coming from anyway??)
Parents can now include children on their policies until age 26, so if those children are without a job at any point, they won't be without insurance. (Sounds Good.... but is this  something that sounds Good, to Good to be True??)
The full reform takes over in 2014. That means Medicaid will expand. (Okay..Expand how?)
You must have health coverage or you will be fined one percent of your income the first year, two percent the next. (Not Digging this.. if you can't afford insurance..which it's my understanding this bill is made so we can..but if you can't.. you certainly wouldn't be able to afford the 'FINE'..HHHMM!)
Small businesses, the self-employed, and unemployed can pool resources and buy less expensive coverage. (Good...but hopefully Less Expensive doesn't mean sub-standard Benies/Health Care)
And are subsidies for families of four who make less than $88,000 per year. To offset premiums, families will get tax breaks based on household income." (Sounds Good, but will there end up being owed later???.. Seen this before.. get a break.. to see it coming back to get ya when it's time to file taxes!!..)
*These are just initial thoughts I have about what I've heard & read about the Bill. I do believe we need a much better Health Care System. One that we can ALL  AFFORD...Keep Hospitals & Drug Companies from Charging to much for an item/service..Example, I recently had a blood test that cost $197.. Insurance paid $50 of it..I owed $8... so a bit less than $60 for the test was accepted.. what happens to the other money? If the Docs/hospitals will accept that price..why charge $197... Of course someone without insurance can't afford the $197 as easily as $60...Why not charge $60 to begin with? Doesn't make since to me?? ..Anyway.. we all have a lot to learn about this new Bill and what could be coming our way. Try not to FEAR  'THE CHANGE', but EMBRACE IT & find out what it's all about & how it can/will affect you & your family.. GO FROM THERE!!!  LET'S HOPE THIS REFORM CREATES WA Y MORE GOOD THAN BAD!

Okay..When I first read this my REACTION.. WTF!!! Excuse my abbreviated Explicit... BUT REALLY...
More than a Time Change coming tomorrow....
*Space Station Trash Plunging to Earth
A piece of space station trash the size of a refrigerator is poised to plunge through the Earth's atmosphere late Sunday, more than a year after an astronaut tossed it overboard.
NASA and the U.S. Space Surveillance Network are tracking the object - a 1,400-pound tank of toxic ammonia coolant thrown from the International Space Station - to make sure it does not endanger people on Earth. Exactly where the tank will inevitably fall is currently unknown, though it is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere Sunday afternoon or later that evening, NASA officials said. (WTF)...
"This has got a very low likelihood that anybody will be impacted by it," said Mike Suffredini, NASA's space station program manager, in an interview. "But still, it is a large object and pieces will enter and we just need to be cautious."(You Think??) ....If anybody found a piece of anything on the ground Monday morning, I would hope they wouldn't get too close to it," Suffredini said. Yep...no Joke..( Digital Spy)
Two pigeons in Iran have been arrested on suspicion of spying... The birds were detained in Natanz, near Iran's uranium enrichment facility, a location at the centre of tension between Tehran and Western powers. It is not yet known if they have been freed or are still incarcerated.
According to the AFP, both pigeons had "metal rings" and "invisible strings" on their bodies.
Iran has a history of suspecting animals of espionage. In July last year, 14 squirrels were detained on the country's border for spying.
Military pigeons were deployed by Britain during the Second World War to carry messages. 32 birds were awarded the Dickin Medal, the highest possible honour for an animal, for services during the 1939-1945 conflict.
*Wallet Sized Passport Cards :) ...Easier to carry for those who

*I Can't believe it's been 7 years. ..doesn't seem that long ago, and in other ways it seems like a life time.
I remember doing Middays  in Tampa, Florida (WHPT 102.5). I couldn't believe what I had seen on TV. No Way this could have been real. YES, IT WAS... It was so hard for me to get information out to people about what was going on & what was happening, without breaking down in tears. Although I will never forget how I felt, I cannot imagine the 'FEELING' of those who lost loved ones! The loss they are still coping with & trying to deal w/ each & everyday.
...The one...for a word "GOOD" thing that did happen shortly after the 'Devistation' of 9-11...Was the "UNITY" people had w/ one another. We all Mourned together, consoled one another...STOOD UP FOR OURSELVES 'TOGETHER'...YOU SAW FLAGS FLYING HIGH...UNITED WE STAND!!! But, I don't see that very much these days...
...I thought I would share a poem I found, 7 years ago, that was written by a 4th Grader named Christine Morrison from Salem, Ohio, shortly after watching everything unfold on TV. She went into her bedroom and wrote this poem. Her 4th Grade Teacher thought it was so special that she sent a copy to President Bush. Christine received a special letter from Mrs. Bush thanking her for the poem. Her Grandparents, Larue & Herb Morrison sent the poem to Dear Abby, which is where I found it 7 years ago. I have hung on to a copy of my own all these years, and especially on this day, I read it & find it stills FITS EVEN 7 YEARS LATER... TAKE A LOOK & SEE HOW YOU 'FEEL'...
"THE DUST OF SEPTEMBER" by Christine Morrison, Grade 4Â (9/11/01)
The dust of SeptemberÂ
The dust, the smoke, the clouds
from the dust of September.
The sadness, the sorrow, the darknessfrom the dust of September. The pretty sites are gone, the love, the death
from the dust of September.
The families, the lives taken away
by the dust of September.
Our country is sad, but our country still stands
in the dust of September.
Our flag still waves
through the dust of September.
We will never break, we will stand together
through the dust of September.
People hurt, hearts broken, but we survive
...IN THE DUST OF SEPTEMBER.
...Amazing how a 4th grader (10-11 years old) hit it right on the head 7 years ago. "WE WILL Â NEVER BREAK, WE WILL STAND TOGETHER, THRU THE DUST OF SEPTEMBER"
...one of my Favorite lines of the Poem. Still rings true today.
Remember those who have 'LOST THEIR LIVES', 'THOSE WHO ARE LIVING w/ THE LOSS',
'THOSE WHO SAVED OTHERS'...
