ATX's Matthew Valentine is THE MAN again this week! He won his 2nd Spotlight Challenge in 'Face Off 2'. A reality show with special effects makeup artists competing for $100,000 and lots of other goodies. This week's challenge 'Rock the Body'. Amazing work that Matt did for an album cover! Check out the 411on last night's episdoe! Make sure you tune in next Wednesday at 9pm on the Syfy channel. The Challenge is 'Night Terrors'. I'm Thinking Matt has GOT THIS!! Matt was teamed up with Brea. They got 6 ours to create this master piece! The models were naked. It's all body paint! Pretty AMAZING! They were the last team to get a photo, and ended up w/ the hardest one (backdrop of multi colored kicks). The photo had to have one model as the up front main one and the other somehow camo'd in the photo, but still interacting w/the main one. Matt did a Fantastic job of hiding the girl within the sneakers and using her butt for the basketball! This what got him a 2nd challenge win!!! Album cover for Asher Roth!

Ponytails seem to be making a big comeback outside of a casual day or workout at the gym. Meryl Streep had one at the Golden Globes, which surprise me. I believe she whipped out the 'banana clip' too! Scary flashbacks are coming to me!

The Twilight Saga is complete on the big screen in November with Breaking Dawn Part2! I thought BD Part1 was pretty much right on with the book. BD Pt2 is said to have a bit of extra to it. How would you like to see Edward do a duet with his daughter at the piano. ( not in the book) ? Guess there could be several extras that will make the movie have a sStellar unexpected finish. HHHHMMM...
Twilight composer Carter Burwell revealed that he had to compose a song for the film specifically to be performed by Robert Pattinson and Mackenzie Foy, the young actress that plays Edward Cullen's daughter, Renesmee.
As Carter explains:
"In the movie I’m working on right now, which is “Breaking Dawn: Part II,” they needed Rob Pattinson and the actress who plays his daughter to play piano onscreen. I had to write this duet before they shot the film so they could actually learn the parts. Rob is a musician, so he prides himself on working out the fingering for these correctly."

There's a lot of buzz about Steven Tyler's national anthem before the Patriots/Ravens game. I'm not sure why there is such an 'OMG' reaction. It sounded just like Steven doing the anthem.

Matt Valentine is representing ATX in the second season of Face Off /Syfy channel Weds nights 9pm central. It's a reality show featuring special effects artists going head to head against each other. This week's challenge was Underwater . MATT & Tara were the winning team with Matt being the Overall Winner of the entire challenge!

Instead, you will see messages intended to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA, encouraging you to share your views with your representatives, and with each other on social media.
What are SOPA and PIPA?
SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the "Stop Online Piracy Act," and PIPA is an acronym for the "Protect IP Act." ("IP" stands for "intellectual property.") In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites, but, in our opinion, they do so in a way that actually infringes free expression while harming the Internet. Not every celeb has bragging rights they have crabs named after them. Scientists discovered anew species of crabs, and since they have hair on their chests, they named if after David Hasselhoff. The new crab is 'THE HOFF'. Not every celeb would love saying they have Crabs, but The Hoff isn't just any celeb.

1.)Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, the actors who play Ron and Hermione, top the list . Their four Harry Potter movies in the past five years have earned a total of $4.2 billion.
2.) Bella & Edward/ Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson (money making off screen couple too) Twilight Saga- so far Twilight movies has raked in $2.5 billion.
3.) Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox rank third $1.5 billion. The pair starred in the first two Transformers movies. The third installment, Dark of the Moon, earned a whopping $1.1 billion this past summer but it doesn’t count toward LaBeouf and Fox’s total because she was replaced in the film by model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as the love interest for LaBeouf’s Sam Witwicky. A co- worker bud, Patrick, sent me the heads up about one of ATX's own on Season 2 of 'Face Off' on the Syfi channel. It debuts Wednesday the 11th at 9pm central time! 14 Special FX artists face off. I caught a bit of season one. It's a cool show with lots of talent. It's awesome that season 2 has ATX ties with Matt Valentine. You might recognize some of Matt's work in the past at House of Torment. He was the artistic director and created/played 'Mr. Creep'.

ATX's Matthew Valentine is THE MAN again this week! He won his 2nd Spotlight Challenge in 'Face Off 2'. A reality show with special effects makeup artists competing for $100,000 and lots of other goodies. This week's challenge 'Rock the Body'. Amazing work that Matt did for an album cover!
