For the study, researchers had 31 people eat either 50 grams of regular dark chocolate (70% cocoa), dark chocolate (70% cocoa) that has been overheated, or white chocolate (0% cocoa). The study participants ate their assigned chocolate for a 15-day period; their blood glucose, circulating lipids, blood pressure and blood flow were all measured before and after the study. I had the pleasure of being a part of 'A Day To Shine' Saturday night on the Four Seasons. I got to work the catwalk, without falling down. (Phew). This event helped raise money and awareness for the 'National Dating Abuse Helpline'. It's a national service whose headquarters is right here in ATX! This helpline helps teens and young adults who are in an abusive relationship. They won't talk about it with their family and friends, this helpline gives them an outlet to chat about their problems with a trained peer, who can guide them and help them. The fashion show included lots of wonderful people like Darrell Royal's wife Edith and Rachel McCoy- Colt's wife! Hook'em! David-Coleman 'The Dating Doctor' spoke too. He was one of the best speakers I have heard in a very long time! Check him out here!

Greetings from Los Angeles, where we're hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It's truly crazy to think that it's been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.
A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece - each shot, no matter how brief - needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we'll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots - the last tiny missing pieces. We're not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.
I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I've made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time...
My niece Kaiti, in Omaha, NE, ROCKED IT for her Senior Prom Saturday night! I can't believe she's graduating high school next month. Time sure does fly....

My new favorite show 'SMASH'. I liked Katharine McPhee on America Idol, and it's nice to see her in a successful (so far) television show. It's on NBC Monday Nights at 9pm, if you haven't had a chance to catch it, I suggest it! If you like Glee, you may like this. But I enjoy it because it's not like Glee. Most of the break out in song moments have more of a reason, instead of just singing all the time! |

Many had to lose the 'Lottery High' over the weekend, when the winning numbers didn't come their way. You may have heard the saying 'You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than winning the lottery.' Well, don't ever say that 'OUT LOUD', or think it! Bill, a man from Wichita bought 3 Mega Millions lottery tickets last Thursday. The odds were with him... or against him.. he actually got struck by lightning!
