Ted and I hopped in the mini w/ Huey and headed to Corpus Christi. This will be our 3 road trip to CC. Just a few hours east from ATX, you end up in Corpus Christi/Upper Padre Island with GOOD TIMES to be had! It's definitely a great weekend get away. Whether you want to relax or check out lots of fun CC has to offer, there's something for everyone. A great site to see what's up in Corpus Christi is www.visitcorpuschristitx.orgThe perfect place to plan a fun family trip, couples getaway, fun w/ the friends, or whatever the occasion.. maybe to just relax.. this is the site to go to before you head to CC.
We enjoy staying at the Omni Hotel because they allow dogs under 25lbs, which is perfect for Huey because he loves to go and be part of the trip too! There's a $50 pet deposit that is non-refundable, which is much more affordable than boarding your pet. Huey is our furry kid, so we like to have him along for the ride. He made himself at home as you can see in the photo. He's such a CUTIE HAM!!
Check out the video and get a sneak peak of the good times you can have in Corpus Christi/Upper Padre Island this summer!
I suggest doing dinner at Harrison's Landing on the pier. It's family owned! Their food is yummy. I had a red snapper wrap w/ their yummy french fries! You can eat inside or outside on the pier. We went for the pier, which seemed to be positioned great for eating outside since it's usually breezy in Corpus Christi. They have a cool gift shop w/ things you don't see anywhere else, and at a good price too. You can also schedule up a day of sailing w/ Harrison Landing. I haven't done that yet, maybe next trip! I'm going to have to try out their breakfast, after catching a glimpse of their menu!
