They walked from City Hall to 6th street to honor him last night, and there will be a public memorial Sunday at 2 on Auditorium Shores. The City Council approved funds yesterday for an environmental study that has to happen before the bike path can be built. 6:00 AM: The Lorax had the best opening ever for a non sequel animated film this weekend. Leslie Cochoran has been moved to hospice and is not doing well. Tornadoes have hit the Midwest throughout the past week, and39 people have been killed. The new #1 golf player in the world is Rory McElroy who is 22 years old. Lindsey Lohan hosted SNL over the weekend for the 4th time, and she made fun of herself in the opening monologue.
6:10 AM: Alex’s Factoid of the Day. There are 4 planes similar to Air Force One that are available on a moments notice. They are able to stay in the air for days at a time without refueling, and they are in place in case there is a disaster and the President needs to run the country from the sky. There is a Doomsday bunker in West Virginia called The Greenbriar Resort that Presidents can go to if there is a disaster as well.
