Her new film 'W.E.,' which she wrote, directed and produced, opens for a limited one-week release in Los Angeles on December 9 and will open nationally on February 3 2012, two days before Super Bowl XLVI.
She's bringing in a creative team from Cirque du Soleil, choreographer Jamie KingKing. He has served as Madonna's creative director for the last 13 years, and they've worked together on four tours including 2008's 'Sticky & Sweet' and her 2006 record-breaking 'Confessions' world tour. King also wrote and directed the critically acclaimed Cirque du Soleil 'Michael Jackson IMMORTAL Tour' earlier this year, and he directed Rihanna's 'Loud' Tour and Britney Spears' 'Femme Fatale' Tour.
In July 2011, 'Variety' named King "Variety's Billion Dollar Tour Director", acknowledging his vast combined tours' box office tally, which is nearing $2 billion in ticket sales.
