Austin Shop Crawl: Terra Burger

I can’t believe it is almost Thanksgiving! Don’t forget the Austin Shop Crawl kicks off this Friday!!! Sign up for the FREE badge at www.AustinShopCrawl.com and get discounts at participating stores and restaurants!

Terra Burger is “Austin’s Original Organic Burger Place.” You will not find one artificial ingredient in ANYTHING at Terra Burger…not in their soda….not in their ketchup…not in their ice cream.
Now don’t let the word organic scare you. There is still tons of meat and bacon and cheese available to pile on to your bun. Terra Burger just offers real instead of processed food…the way food should be eaten.
Gluten Free buns are also available!
Terra Burger is a fast food drive through joint, but feel free to bring the kids and let them play on the big playground while you watch from the old school trolley!

Sign up for the FREE Austin Shop Crawl Badge and get either 15% off your meal. Or buy a burger with regular hand cut fries and receive a free 32 ounce large drink!

Have you ever heard of okonomiyaki? Me either! According to Wikipedia okonomiyaki is,  “a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked."

The only place you can get okonomiyaki here in Austin is at Osaka Soul located in the South First Food Court.

I tried the Gojira Mix with Kimchi - Bacon - Shrimp on one of our cooler nights here and it hit the spot. I promise you don’t have to be a foodie or have a weird palate to chow down…it is just darn good.

On December 2nd The South First Food Court will be hosting a Merry Movie Night Under the Stars! Get the free Austin Shop Crawl Badge and enjoy free drinks and samples from Osaka Soul while watching Free Christmas movies!

With the Austin Shop Crawl Badge - you get extended happy hour at Piranha!
If you haven't been yet...I am sure you have at least seen the big yellow Piranha sign at Piranha Killer Sushi on 3rd and San Jacinto in Downtown Austin.

I went with some friends for lunch to try out some of the sushi this week. (And fyi...I LOVE sushi)

The first thing I noticed was that the menu had a nice variety of options to please both the adventurous and not so adventurous sushi eater. In other words...there are plenty of raw options as well as the safer rolls and cooked entrees.

To start we did a little daytime drinking and sampled the Sex-tini....how can you not order that ladies? Our waiter suggested the Crudo of Hamachi, Tuna, and Escolar. It went pretty fast.

We also ordered the Crab Cakes with Pineapple and Mango Salsa. How good do those crab cakes look!

Since there was a few of us...we wanted to try some out some rolls. My absolute favorite was this Tri-Color Sushi Roll. It was Tuna, Salmon, Escolar, and Crab wrapped in cucumber...a low-carb dieters dream. I am definitely getting that again next time I go.

Pirahna also has a pretty cool bar to hang out for Happy Hour Times....and they have a great happy hour menu with lots of food and drink options!

So don't forget....to get an extended Happy Hour at Pirahna Killer Sushi from November 25 - Dec 4...sign up for your FREE Austin Shop Crawl Badge here: http://austinshopcrawl.com/

Also...don't forget to get your tickets for the opening night after party at TNT! Click here to read all about it!

Every time I drive by TNT on West 5th I am always jealous of the people sitting on the patio enjoying their sweet potato chips and margaritas.
