Seven of 14 people who had previously been unaccounted for had checked in by Thursday morning, Deeds said at a press conference on Thursday. About 100 people were reported injured and as many as 250 were homeless after the swarm of twisters that ripped up trees and knocked down homes on Wednesday evening.
The six deceased were all adults, Deeds said. There have been no reports of injuries to first responders, the sheriff said."Everything's running smooth, everything's looking good," Deeds said of recovery efforts on Thursday.
This hasn't been my favorite American Idol season, but I think there is a BIG TALENT coming out of it! I think AI got lucky w/ this one. I'm Team Candice all the way. I got goosebumps and my eyes were watering last night when she sang 'I (Who Have Nothing)' the most popular first version by Shirley Bassey. Candice got a standing ovation for this performance, and it was much deserved. THIS WAS AN AMERICAN IDOL MOMENT! CANDICE ROCKS!!
Today is the celebration of the Chicken Dance! I'm a fan, but my hubby Ted isn't. When we got married almost 12 years ago, he didn't want it played during our reception. I of course wanted it, and the DJ must have known that, because I didn't ask for it. During the reception he had Ted & I get on the dance floor and have all our guests circle around us to represent the 'Circle Of Love'. Sounds like a 'Lion King Moment' huh... but it became 'Chicken Dance Moment'. Ted smiled and started doing the dance w/ me and pretty soon everyone at the reception was doing it with us!
Don't forget to break out your best 'Chicken' sometime today. Who cares who is watching! Have fun!
I'm not the smoothiest when it comes to putting eyeliner on. Especially when it comes to a liquid eyeliner. I usually have one line thicker on one eye than the other, and forget about a nice clean eyeliner line. I found some gel eyeliner by Jane at Nordstrom's Rack, so I gave it a try and found this is more of an eyeliner that goes w/ my skills. You use a brush to make the line, but the gel is a bit more forgiving than liquid and stays on way longer than just a wet eyeshadow eyeliner line, which I do on occassion. I was looking to see if I could find another affordable gel liner.
When I was in Ulta in Sunset Valley over the weekend, I discovered Rimmel London's Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner. Well, actually Ted ran acrossed it and showed it to me. It was between $5-$6 range, which was already a plus compared to what I was using, half the price. I haven't had great success w/ past use of Rimmel London. I tried a lipstick and it just didn't stay on, so I figured this would be the same way.
WRONG! I actually like it, or dare to say even MORE than LIKE it. I'm going on day 2 trying it. So far so good. It's easy to glide on w their brush. You can wipe without hassle if you go astray. My eyes are pretty sensitive, so they water easily with allergies and reactions to past makeups. This one.. ALL GOOD! So far doesn't make my eyes water, and it stays one when my allergies kick in. I'm a fan so far of this gel eyeliner. Thumbs up! I'll give it a week and see what happens. I'll let you know if things change. Might want to give it a try. See how it does for you!
I had the pleasure of meeting Angie/Blue Avocado during Austin Fashion Week over the weekend. You can run across some of their Fabulous products in local Austin stores. BA is a BIG SUPPORTER of being environmentally responsible and lowering the Carbon Footprint w/ their products. BA is very much Girl Power centered with lots of female friendly products/prints. They carry the Lauren Conrad Eco-Collection. During ATX Fashion Week they were showing their new line that was created for guy thanks to designer Ross Bennett. The collection is very cool and the pricing is afforadable from $49 and lower. Yep... Green and affordable! DOUBLE GREEN LOVE!
Checkout the video to find out a bit about it from Angie during ATX Fashion Week, and check out their website w/ lots of 'Cool Products For A Hot Planet' and what you can do w/ the Blue Avocado to help Mama Earth stay on the path of a healthier planet.

CeeLo Green & Julie Simms (runner up from last season 2). The first thought that popped in my head when I watched it was..

CeeLo's new solo album is due in October, but first the new Goodie Mob album, Age Against the Machine, will drop on June 18.
Dr. Patel from Devenir Aesthetics. You say his name like this 'Puh-tell'. When I went to chat w/ him to see what he was about and his specialities, it amazed me how easy he was to talk too. He explained things in a way you understand what he was talking about. He genuinely cares about his patients. If you have been thinking about getting facial plastic surgery, do the research. Go to www.freshfaceaustin.comand find out more about Dr. Patel, and if he seems like someone you would like to find out more about what he does, call to set up a time to chat w/ him. 512-477-3778.
I suggest watching the video too! It will give you an idea of what Dr. P is about. I was very comfortable just chatting w/ him. I believe you will be too.
