Sara's Dating Diary: Revenge Body

Well it has been 2-3 months since I broke up with my ex and the ONE thing I said was that I didn't want to sit on the couch, eat ice cream and gain weight. Well so far I have sat on the couch, ate ice cream, drank whiskey and gained weight.

So now I am pulling myself up from my bootstraps – I don’t really understand that term – and I am going to work on my "Revenge Body." This is a term from a show that Khloe Kardashian hosts where she helps people get in shape after nasty break ups. We all know the BEST revenge is your ex seeing you out and about…and you have transformed into SUPER WOMAN.

My break up was extremely pleasant but I still want that revenge body effect

I will say the one good thing about being single is you can do whatever you want whenever you want. You also don't have a nice guy telling you that you "are beautiful no matter what." That phrase gave me all the reasons to not go to the gym and eat french fries instead.

When you are in a relationship it is easy to brush off a 5:30 pm workout or a 8 am Saturday workout because you have other plans. Well now I have NO PLANS...so my plan is going to be to get into shape to make up for all the damage I did while in a relationship.

So far I have bought new shoes, joined a new gym, bought new clothes, and purchased protein powder...so I guess now it is time to actually work out.

If you are single, look at this small window of singleness as the time you can take care of YOU. Work on that body to get strong, and feel sexy. Because you know the MINUTE you get back into a relationship it is right back to french fries and sleeping in. :)
