Us The Duo “No Matter Where You Are” Michael and Carissa Alvarado were living on opposite sides of the country when they stumbled across each other in 2011. They started writing together and built up a following on YouTube. They got married (here's the proposal video) a year later, but it wasn’t until they started posting covers and medleys on Vine in 2013 that their music really started to take off. Using the hashtag #6secondcovers, they did renditions of popular Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson songs. After just a couple of months, they had 3.1 million Vine subscribers! Passenger is coming to Stubb's Bar-B-Q on Saturday, August 30th. Tickets on sale Friday (4/25) at 10am. Passenger formed in Brighton, England, as a collaboration between singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg and composer Andrew Phillips. Working out of Phillips' studio, the duo recorded the songs that would become 'Wicked Man's Rest,' Passenger's debut album. Passenger (band) would make it's way to SXSW Fest in ATX in 2008. By 2009, the band went different directions w/ Mike Rosenberg keeping 'Passenger' as himself. It wasn't until Passenger released his 5th album 'All The Little Lights' that featured the single 'Let Her Go' that nationwide attention happened in 2013. Thanks to the Big Game Budweiser commerical starring a dog and a horse made 'Let Her Go' climb up to #1 on the Adult Pop charts.
