Something to ask your dentist....

Would you do a root canal on a tiger?

I just confirmed my appointment for some dental work on Monday.   I ran across this story, so I thought I would share. I'll have to ask Dr. Nussbaum if he would do this?  A dentist in Alaska gave a ,7 foot, 300lb , Bengal Tiger  a root canal on a tooth that was at least 3 inches tall.
Here's the Story!

Wish her GREAT health soon..

Giuliana Ranci, E News host,  found out she has breast cancer while  trying  for a 3rd round of IVF  to have a baby.  It was caught at the very early stages, so after surgery and 6 weeks of radiation, beating it looks good.  It's important to get a mammogram, early detection is  ALWAYS better. If  you feel like there is something wrong, but don't go in cause you can't afford it, there are many options to get help. I listed just a few below.

It's happening on NOV. 5th!!

I got an email from Bridget sending me a heads up about a great way to get exercise and help at the same time. Check it out...

Hello Heather,

When Dan Oulette’s wife lost her mother Paula to lung cancer in 2008, only three months after being diagnosed, it was devastating to their family. To honor his mother-in-law’s memory he organized for three consecutive years a Free to Breathe® event in Providence, R.I., where he lived at the time, to raise funds to support the National Lung Cancer Partnership’s vital research, education and awareness programs.

At the end of 2010 Dan and his family packed their bags and moved to Austin, Texas and he has vowed to continue his mission by organizing the inaugural Free to Breathe® Austin 5K Fun Run/Walk, 1 Mile Walk and Kids’ Dash on Saturday, November 5. He hopes to rally the community together to bring support to others and awareness to a disease that takes more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancer combined.

Flashback from the weekend...

I was at Opal Divine's Pennfield location on S. Congress w/ Personique  for a  pre-party before the  Drink Pink Ball. Helping to raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer  Resource Centers of Texas.   Fabulous organization that has been helping  people who are fighting cancer and their families since '95!   Mother Nature decided to drop by a special donation that was welcome too.

Big You Rocks to Susan, Michael , DJ & the crew at Opal Divine's, Kathleen from BCRC and Tim w/ Personique! Hope your B-Day ROCKED too Tim!!

BTW: Kathleen from BCRC told me that 'Scare for a Cure' haunted house  is just about ready for the scares and $ goes to local charities that help  fight cancer.  Click here for a Huge Scare. She said you can even make it 'Extra Bloody'. You will have to go to find out what that is. I don't want to ruin the SCARE for you!

A new beauty treatment that could make 'The Girls' bigger..

A Bangkok beautician is experienced in the art of 'Slapping'. She says a woman can get bigger breasta by her slapping technique. There is no need for surgery, when she could slap them bigger. She is also teaching her technique but to a select few.  I think I'll pass.  How about you?

$ back for the Reebok 'Toning Shoes'....

Reebok's 'Toning Shoes' were called out as Bogus...

Reebok's promise sounded too good to be true: It claimed its EasyTone and RunTone shoe lines could shape your legs and tone your butt into a cute apple bottom. The claims sounded scientific: A trim spokeswoman touted a 11% gain in leg strength, and a tempting 28% improvement in your derriere over regular running shoes.

...The Federal Trade Commission ordered the sneaker company to pay $25 million in partial customer refunds -- calling the inflated fitness claims bogus. Consumers who bought shoes or apparel in the company's tone line after Dec. 4, 2008, can file a claim (with a proof of purchase) for a $25 to $50 refund.

Should these be banned?

Crocs are getting banned all over at hospitals because they are unsafe.  Higher ups are afraid the syringes and other sharp hospital items if dropped on someone's foot in crocs could pierce them, because of the croc holes. Many hospital workers are upset over a ban on crocs, since they are comfortable and easy to clean.
Are you part of the Facebook  hater campaign of Crocs?   Or do you think  Crocs  ROCK!!

Maybe the hospitals can make a compromise. Employees sign a waiver if they want to wear Crocs at their on risk.  It could go right up there with Sky Diving!
