Unemployment has been above 8 percent overall the past 2 1/2 year, so Hallmark has launched a new line of 'Job Loss' cards. Example: She was handed a lemon. A really BIG LEMON. She started to make lemonade. Then she thought what the heck and made a Martini with a twist instead. Click here for more!
Cool idea or rubbing salt in a wound?
Having been laid off a few times myself in the radio industry, I have found you have to have to find some humor in things, or the alternative will bring you down and keep you down.
Many fall in this area just 'One pay check away' from being homeless',
Doesn't matter how much education or experience you have, which is the case
of Maurice Johnson. He has a Masters Degree in Plasma Physics from Dartmouth College,
and a Masters in Electrical Engineering and acoustics from Purdue University.
Maurice finds himself somewhere he never thought he would be... HOMELESS!! [kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/8eNPAH46oI8" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent" /]
With this in mind, the new 'Super Committee' to solve the 'National Debt' really doesn't put my mind at ease for a 'Grand Solution'?
- Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid will appoint Senators Patty Murray of Washington,Max Baucus of Montana and John Kerry of Massachusetts to a special committee charged with finding $1.5 trillion in budget savings. Reid, of Nevada, said he will name Murray as co-chairwoman of the bipartisan, 12-member deficit-cutting super-committee, which will be the central focus of political and lobbying activity on Capitol Hill for the next four months. Megan Hughes reports on Bloomberg Television's "InsideTrack." (Source: Bloomberg)
Deadline for a complete' Special Committee' is August 16th. Think picking folks out of the same government that can't seem to figure out a solution is the right thing to do? It will be better cause it's smaller? Think it might be better to have folks outside of the government like big CEO's, business owners, accountants.... Like- Steve Jobs- Apple has more $ than the government. Maybe he could spot a few pointers on how to get the 1.5 plus trillion debt down, and jobs and the economy back up, so folks in Maurice's situation can get back on track. Also so others don't end up in Maurice's situation.

Wondering about 'Email Etiquette'? Click Here! This one I always try to watch out for... 5. Avoid mood mail.Never send an e-mail when you’re angry. Take time to cool down and re-read the e-mail before you send it to be sure it doesn’t contain anything you will regret later. Facial expression, vocal inflection or body language can’t be conveyed in an e-mail, so messages may be misconstrued as too harsh, too critical, or too casual.

for next years survey!
Top 2 things (to stop doing):
